Most of the system(so called) teach you how to open trades, not many of them show you the most important part,,,,

The most important and the diffcult part of the trading is TP.... It is diffcult to get the right side of the trade and it is more difficult to know/set where the TP should be.
It takes some experience and gut to able to master the skill...

One can compensate the lack of the skill by using Trail Stop, at least it will help you keep your pips....


Look at the the PIC on the EJ 4H ....
It was such a big move last nite and smart trader will take profit... when it start to approach PPZ (Pivot Point Zone). See Rectangle box.....

The higher TF u look at, the clearer to find where the important PPZ are....

After languishing for more than 19 hours in front of the screen - losing untold amounts of pips (yeah I'm too ashamed to even say the number), I put on one more trade... set it and forgot it.

The EUR/GBP grabbed my attention... started off with a trade size that was too large - decided to trim it down significantly as my account was near bust... it may turn out that I'm a better trader taking a single position at a time and then not watching the result - as I tend to interfere (hedge and add to my losses unnecessarily) and am swayed by the fickleness of the pips going against me.

When I woke up it was at +112... so I decided to use a 15 pip trailing stop (must have been just below the TP symbol on the chart) and went back to sleep... (just as Sonic says... not knowing where the price would go from there as it had broken thru a level that hasn't been seen for quite some time - I chose to use a trailing stop to at least lock in the majority of pips). Like a true knuckle-head I entered another E/G trade this afternoon (before asian session)... that was going no where quickly as many who trade the market are in sideline-mode waiting for NFP I suspect. Guess I'll get a clue and save myself unneccessary abuse/strees).

Over trading and over leveraging are number 1 killers for the traders....
The smallers TF u go ..the more noise involved and the more unstable it becomes....

I do somthing like this....

One or Two trades a day....(e.g. Yesterday I had one...EJ long....)
If two Loss Trades in a row...Close the PC or go sleep...

me burn badly by that... no more warrant for me. Forex is the only way.

Few K easily lose too...I do not "play" anymore... I trade Forex...

FX is like are you are agianst other trader (In thoery)...
For warrant, you are against the Banker (or House) even if your are on the right side,,all the odd are against u...Same things go on Options,,I suppose....

Thanks for the reminder Cfp, we have very mixed signals now on the two dollar major: Eur/Usd has formed a head & shoulder and currently price actions are precipitating down within that little phantom downward sloping fork (Zuya, you can do your stuffs in scalping it!). And Gpb/Usd has been gunning for much high level with clearly HHs and HLs. Can she clears this modified fork in the 240-min time frame?
