exactly but dont forgot the ECB rate announcement after one and half an hour, forecast says unchanged
My little experience tell me to be aware. Most of the times the news dont have the impact that logic would sugest. Imagine if they cut, or the signal a strong cut in march?

This would kill the euro. at these levels. By the other way, when the moment comes that they signal no more rate cuts, maybe we visit 1.50s again.

Its just a geopolitical question.

A 5min bar closing below 1.2852, seems to me to be a good level of entry. Just watch it, this is not advise but my way of reading the chart/s.

I'm watching situation on 5min like a hawk! The wall along 1.2852. If it's broken I'll probably wait for a pullback or kiss goodbye.

I consider my 1.2852(short) to be OK unless 1.2877 is closed above.

The thing is lately when central banks have been cutting rates, the underlying currency has been getting stronger not weaker on the idea that cutting rates will be stimulative to the economy. Rates are not completely a non issue, but they won't always have the affect that supports the interest differential scenario. The USDJPY carry is dead, there is no difference in interest rates in those pairs - GBPJPY is almost in the same boat. The free money trade is too risky, considering how much the underlying currency rates have changed. I think right now, commodity prices, GDP growth, employment are key for forecasting currency strength going forward. Good luck.

I hate to trade in the news zone......
by the way, the commodity factor is not correlated in a real time basis these days...bit of a lag before being measureable.

I closed my longs for now. Going to take a long look at charts.

edit: I think there may be a correction in gold and treasuries...

edit2: bearish divergence on 15M
