what da hell happend to the decline to 2700 everyone was banking on is it still there or has that gone out the window?

I'm in for a 200+ pip drop here. But that's just my 6th sense... Good trading everybody.

on my hands with santa strategy set. 10-15 after news i may scalp...

cut already priced in since we all know theres gonna be a cut..what will change this is more or less of a cut plus statement.. your better off sitting on the sideline..

The January [HBOS HOUSE PRICE INDEX] is much better than expected seeing a m/m increase of 1.9%, against a consensus of a 1.6% decline, leaving the annual decline at 17.2%. This represents the first m/m increase since February of last year. Halifax says it sees 'very early signs' the UK housing market may be stabilising though the bank adds that it sees 2009 as a difficult year for the housing market. Recall BoE mortgage approvals also ticked up last month - Gilts drop a few ticks on announcement but soon regain them/Short Sterling unmoved on data. Some green shoots perhaps. However, just to balance the good news, the SMMT reports that new car registrations fell 30.9% on the year to January to 112,087.

Obviously, we will retest 1.2900-12950 again!

i try another short on EURUSD

[USD/CAD] has been coming off pretty sharply in early European trade on talk of massive demand for Cad/Yen out of a German Bank. The same bank had earlier been noted buying Usd/Yen, and the pace of the headline losses suggests some hefty interest has been going through. The pair has dropped from the earlier 1.2383 high to a 1.2230 low so far, and just shy of the previous support at the 1.2226 level. This has held the downside for now, although a break here will likely spur some more model sales and stop loss chasing. Local data today includes the Canadian building permits and the IVEY PMI.

Be aware of a false breakout North above 1.2873,(it may of course just run) this may prove false, as I have seen a good short opportunity below 1.2816.

exited former short entry 1.2858 with moved SL from 1.2945 into profit to 1.2838. + 20 pips
looking for re-entry of short in the area ~1.2892

sorry but i dont get it

pivot levels are calculated for every time zone, so for example for you R1 level is at price x, but for me R1 is at price x+y - so we see resistance in diffrent places .... if my R1 is lower then yours, I go short, you still wait for R2 and I have -pips on my account - am i wrong?

It's trying it's best to break above1.2873, I would only consider it to be a quick scalp of 10-15 pips before it come back down.(If indeed it goes up in the first place)
