Traders,

Heres a quick note on adding to a position. First the reason I am writting this is because I just received an email from a trader who keeps adding to their position on to loose more equity because they dont do it in the proper fashion. Heres a quick set of rules to help everyone along.

Rules to adding to a position

-You must have locked in profit
-only risk a max of 50% of your locked in profit. ie profit /2 / risk in pips vs 50% of your locked in profit = lot size to add
-Close 80% of your add in at 10 pips and set stop to add in to BE and let the rest run.

Simple enough!

The Asia bulls pushed up to a new week high above 1.2900 before running out of fuel and falling back down. Price continued to fade through London Open until it reached the DP (daily pivot) finding support there. A 250 pip bull rally commenced slowly gaining a lot of momentum after NY Open.

In the second day of a new trend the bearish interest has declined so there is not enough follow-through on countertrend moves to make them worth the risk. For this reason trading only with the trend made more sense today. The exceptions to this were tradeable sell signals near London Open and London Close.

I could simply continue using my standard defensive or medium setups in this situation and they would do OK. However I would rather use my discretion to go full throttle in these 'second day' trend conditions.

Fast Trend Setup
 Wider profit targets (3X medium targets)
Wider trailing stop (50 instead of 20)
Trade in direction of trend only

Keep same as Defensive Setup
 Always wait for signal candles to confirm
Do not open a new trade until existing trade reaches zero risk
Move stop to BE at +20

Lessons I learned...

Wait for London Open to decide on a direction, this usually means waiting for a large candle that closes outside the range of the previous several candles. My only loss (-18) was a fake long at 8:30. Price action leading up to that signal was clearly undecided. Wait for London to make up their minds.

When trending 60 pips appears as a common move in EUR/USD. The 60 pip TPs were hitting right near retraces. This suggests big dog profit taking at these levels.

The market moves when Fred says in the chat 'BRB'.
The market moves fast 20 minutes after I logoff.

I have noticed that some people are loading very wide chart images into their posts. This creates a problem because it stretches the thread view wider and wider.

The solution is to not link the images directly into your posts.

Use the Attachments button in the editor to upload images directly from your PC. This will create a thumbnail of your massive 30" screenshots and then if people want to see more detail they click on the thumbnail.

Uploading to an image host like tinypic.com is not necessary and not desirable for the readability of this thread.

Great System when you combien it with Elliot waves , trade wave 3 and 5 and contra trade after wave 5 which knows as head and shoulder , I made 80 pips in the morning and 45 today so far .I am tarding mobile now so finally I am a full time trader now even when i am work lol , Thanks

I'm looking for Metatrader software with demo account, so that when it expired I can make another demo account without requesting to make a new installation for the software so I will not lose the settings and indicators that I set.
any advice or help plz

Thanks for these comments fj. Attached is a pivots indi that you adjust the start time to 00.00 gmt, but can add on yesterdays high/low, todays open and 38, 50 and 62% fibs of yesterdays high/low. We've talked often in the chat room as to how well these fibs work as supp/res areas.

Same as pivots if previous days PA was a small range then the fibs also won't be of as much use. For the most part they work really well.

And just a quickie to show it in action from earlier this morning. A bounce in direction of prev days positive close at a cluster of 38% fib, daily pivot and just below but not shown is a weekly pivot also and the half number, the more that line up the better of course.

what 'signal bar confirmed' means in your chart? how to confirm? thank you!!

one more question: how your audioalert indicator's advanced signal works? As per Jedi's advanced rule, price should bounce off R/S with those three indicaors line up, does your audioalert indicator find R/S automatically and paint sinal candle? hope your reply. thank you very much!
