I'm not sure what you mean, but my first take profit target was at 2970 (the current uptrend support line, bounced right off) but I always let a portion of my trades run and move my sl to break even (then trail it if need be). But I'm not sure what you mean by average price...

The decline in [FRENCH PRODUCER PRICES] slowed in Dec, with the monthly figure coming in at -1.4%, from a revised -2.0% in Nov, taking the PPI to 0% from a revised 1.5% y/y. However, the pipeline prices fell stronger than expected as forecasts had seen a drop of -1.1% m/m with the annual figure firmly remaining in positive territory at 0.3% y/y. In the breakdown, energy was once more the main driver for the continuous fall (-5.5% m/m) while all other categories contributed with less than -1.0%. The second largest drop was recorded for intermediate goods with -0.9% m/m.

Although [EU EQUITIES] rebounded strongly during the pm session on Tue, especially after the better than expected US pending home sales release, extended gains on Wall St and an even better performance by the main Asian bourses o/n should nudge the Dax, FTSE and Cac-40 etc up a bit further in early trade. Note, however, the latest broad recovery rally in global stock markets remains shaky with plenty of reasons to be cautious about getting too carried away. In the US, Pres Obama's economic stimulus bill appears to have hit a few more hurdles in the Senate, while corporate results/outlooks are hardly encouraging. The latest US auto sales figures were grim late yest, while earnings from Alcatel, Munich Re underline the adverse impact of the sharp global downturn. However, better news from the insurance sector with Aviva's update better than expected.

Well break even for me right now is 3006 because I got in late as I was arguing with Oanda over a failed stop loss change order...

Bah... I just chalked it up to experience and decided not to seek live help while the markets moving

I had same problem a couple months ago. I too chalked it up to experience and stayed with them for their spread.

sorry you got tripped out, Oanda spread gets crazy early in the morning, have seen it as much as 15 pips, this can put a serious dent in your dosh if you're just scalping...

i dont know if you know my methods or not but i use channels and patterns mostly (no indicators). Why do i mention this, because certain patterns repeat themselves nonstop and they usually have a cycle. up till november or so it was mostly triangles including the triangle that broke up for 2000pips (for those who recall it). Missed most of december but lately in january and even now in february the pattern that has been played most is the M or W reversals (double tops or double bottoms). On the one hour charts i see the same thing, a double top (M) with the neckline around 1.2965. Also note the blue line on the larger timeframes that marks the upper wall of the descending channel we have been in since 1.47. Those are the values to watch right now, 1.2965 for another 80 pip + drop to the downside or 1.3075 for a hard break to the upside...anything in between is scalping territory (buy at the low, sell at the high kind of thing). My bias is short still.
