OK shorted at 1.30284. Just looking to trail it down. SL at 1.3040.

since monday everyone has been talking about 1.2500 1.2600 1.2700 and i havent seen it go below 1.2800 how da hell do you guy arrive at these numbers??

sma, macd, pivot, fibs, trend, div, bolinger, etc, and more?

oh btw, and it bit 1.27xx low yesterday.

truthfully im still learning forex i have no clue how to retrace prices and what a pivot is

The [AUD/USD] started the Asian session yest on the defensive as it hovered ard the 0.6300 lvl just prior to the announcememnt of the A$42 bln stimulus package by Asut PM Rudd. The pair managed to inch up to 0.6360 just before the RBA decision to cut int rates by a further 100 bps to 3.25%, the lowest rate since 1964. The RBA said that "the combination of expansionary monetary & fiscal policies now in place will help to cushion the Australian econ from the contractionary forces coming from abroad".

[NORTH AMERICAN CLOSE] As the second half unfolded so did more risk appetite after the US data, which for the second day running, prompted a weaker U.S unit. For Tuesday the impetus (the sole U.S data release) came in the shape of a much stronger U.S pending home sales report.

[NZ DATA REVIEW] S/adj Net Permanent and Long Term Migrants into NZ gained for the first time in four months, amounting to a net +270 persons in Dec, compared to a revised 450k loss over Nov. For the year ended Dec 31st, the country recorded a net gain of 3,814 permanent and long-term migrants, 245 more than Nov's figure: but seen the lowest calendar year figure since 2000. Slowing migration risks to place domestic momentum as well as any quick economic recovery on the back burner. However some stabilisation is expected into 2009, but at low levels. Meanwhile in a somewhat positive release, the number of short-term visitors to NZ hit a record 322,200 high in Dec to be up 2% on the same month a yr earlier

is this forum there are many poeple willing to help if you really want to learn. you can use forexfactory resaerch window. understand price action vs support and resistance and the trend.and choose a system that suit with your personality and time. Hope i helped.

Definately. Babypips is a must, you can go through the school of pipsology in a couple of hours. It really is a must.

Before you even try learning a strategy, you need to fully understand pivots, candles, candlestick patterns (eg double tops, head and shoulders...etc) Support/Resistance and of course money management.

Then try strategies to fit your personality. I spent a year losing money deciding what type of trading suits me. Theres lots of education for free and google just makes things a lot easier.

Not many people will admit that they are gamblers but truth be told, most are, and end up losing everything in the end. There is a fine line between a gambler and a trader. Make sure you become the latter.

today was a terrable day for me iv lost money early this morning now im basically breaking even on every trade i get into i think im gonna sit out till the euro seesion opens

Snags hit [AUSTRALIA]'s Aud 42 bln stimulus package, with the Conservative opposition party announcing it will vote against the legislation in Parliament this week. The Govt faces a tough task in convincing the Upper House, in which the conservative rivals hold the balance of power, to quickly rubber stamp the legislation; with rivals saying it has been ill conceived and requires proper debate.

The [AUD/NZD] chalked up hefty gains yest despite the RBA chopping interest rates by another 100 bps. The pair which dipped to a low of 1.2470 rose to an initial high of 1.2620 after the announcement of the A$42 bln stimulus package and the RBA cut as market players reckon the interest rate differential of 25 bps now in the Kiwi's favour may change over coming months as the RBNZ has more room to lower rates. Market players are also hopeful of better Aust economic performance vis-a-vis the NZ economy. The pair eventually reached an o/n high of 1.2730 before retreating a tad to open at 1.2690. A clear break of 1.2655 given scope for a test of the 1.2800 handle over coming sessions. A better than f/c Aust retail sales and building approvals data due at 0.0030 GMT may be the catalyst for the push towards the 1.2800 level. Buying orders at 1.2630 and selling orders at 1.2760 will keep the range ahead of the data.
