Last couple scalps, made my %5 day. If this is a bottom, likely a chance to get back to it on a double, so not going to be the long term hero. take the money and run.

current pa is pretty clear cut. since yesterday's us stock market close we have been in a descending channel with pa moving all over the place within it. The smart play has been to sell on each tap of the upper wall and the risky play has been to buy on each tap of the lower wall. Currently we have reached a double bottom (last weeks low) which also coincides with the lower wall of the current descending channel. Considering its the last day of the trading week/month there is no reason to make a new low today. It is a strong possibility we will break this channel to the upside sometime before market close but for now 1.2850 is acting as strong resistance. Methods of play today, sit on the sidelines, too volatile and direction is not clearly defined so close to market close.

My M30 RSI Line held last up move, but if do not hold, so we will see new up move.

Better to be alert now!!

My view already known, hold shorts!!

We can see a crazy move to the upside, but I doubt it!!

All shorts above 1.2930, set BE and let it go, do not close those trades today!!
Shorts around 1.2855/75 area take PF AYD until market end and set SL 1.2933!!

I am impressed with your analysis and specially your words.
I also think that a rebound could be near because the movement from 14:00 to 17:00 GMT signaled the top and the bottom of a new range.

i agree though that bottom bounce if it happens will be a great re-entry...after that i think the geese will fly south for the winter if they can avoid the flight path of jets...the actions of the chf confirms this... even though the gbp is eratic lately.. when all 3 get on the same page this should be a smooth ride.. hopefully mild tempertures and lots of sun..

since were speaking about correlations with other pairs, lets not forget the yen. note that usd/jpy is battling for that 90 level, if it gets broken...we may see a nice push to the upside dragging the eur/usd with it...fun to watch this fight...no fun to be part of it

thinking about closing half at 80 and re-enter after bounce..

There is plenty of data and the ECB policy decision, to keep markets occupied in the [EUROZONE NEXT WEEK]. The economic calendar kicks off on Mon with French Dec PPI, likely to be lower again, although the market has already had an infl shocker with the weak EMU flash Jan HICP (1.1% y/y). Also on Mon, Jan manuf PMIs - we already know from prelim numbers for the big 2 and Eurozone overall that sentiment stabilised, but look for confirmation or surprises in the final surveys and others. Similarly, Jan PMI services on Wed, along with EMU PPI, likely posting another large m/m decline. On Thur, just ahead of the ECB, German manuf orders might be of interest - the y/y has dropped at a rate of close to 30% already and another m/m fall is f/c. However, the key event will be the ECB meeting and while no change is expected we look for Trichet to repeat his previous Mar is an 'important month' comment.

gu may be failing to reach todays high of near 1.45.. its atempting now.. shorter term trend up with 1.45 as its high.. longer term lower.. might be worth your personal analise..

[SF FED STUDY] New Fed study looks at negative wealth from housing/equity losses on labor market behavior. The drop in household wealth is most since the Great Depression and the findings suggest the shocks to wealth and the rollback of household credit are leading more to enter the labor force out of need. This countercyclical inflow of workers could push the jobless rate more than now forecast as would-be workers find it hard to find jobs. The looked at recent employment data and found evidence suggesting sharply reduced wealth and liquidity are prompting certain demographic groups to enter the labor force in greater numbers than during good times. Note in Dec so-called "involuntary part-time" workers rose to a record 8 mln, with vast majority at this point due to hours being cut as their firms adjust to recessionary business conditions. 19:25 GMT - [Next Week in Japan] After the month end madness, the calendar dries up, with near to no data leads. Domestic motor vehicle sales are due on Monday and set to paint a dire picture of the core sector into January, as demand for big ticket items turns to shrink amidst the deepening downturn. On Tuesday; January's monetary base is set to continue expanding at a steady 1.8% pace as the CB keeps cash available to lenders, lofty amidst the current credit crisis. Dec labour cash earnings follow and look set to decline further as the recession forces more companies to cut costs.
