I think I'm pretty much out today too. I'm up 24 pips and was only going for 10 so I'll take it.

Maybe one day I'll have 800+ pips for the week, but I need to build my account to handle longer trades. For now as a noob, any amount of pips makes me happy.

My 5min bar, has just confirmed it is still going down. (That doesn't mean it will).

on my H4 chart ive got two lows from Jan 22/23 of 1.2765, so will see what it does when it hits here, should be coming up soon, dont go home

I'm a rookie just like you Stielle as I'm in this market since 2 years only and there is so much I still have to learn but thank's to many fantastic people in this forum I'm learning day by day and I'm starting to see things under a different point of view.Maybe I was just lucky to gather so many pips in one week or maybe I'm starting to be more confident in my trading choosing..time will tell..anyway good luck and never give up

Thanks Legio! Your 800 pip week is definitely an inspiration. Please do not see my post as anything but that. I'm glad to see that with this business and lots of practice, such a thing is possible.

I have lurked for a long time and recently started my live account after months and months of demo. I lost my first 5 trades in a row, 10% of my account due to nervousness and completely NOT doing what I was supposed to. (guess live money has that effect) I stepped back, studied more, and read and reread you guys some more. I'm now less than 2% away from building back to my original amount and then I can profit!

Thanks to everyone here and I hope to learn and eventually give back to the community.

It happened the same to me when I started to trade live,I believe it's necessary to loose in order to understand how is important to keep its own account alive for the next day.Loosing money is important as earning money as you can learn how to avoid mistakes or,at least,how to reduce them.

Both EURO and AUD divergence playing out on hourly MACD Histogram. 3 waves of false indicators...not sure there is much bear momo left.

EDIT: not sticking around to find out - locked +20 more pips in AUD....6350 was where there was intervention from RBA in past, kind of a conforta area, but not sure it will hold over weekend.

According to the talking heads on CNBC, the latest "brain wave" from Davos has been a two tier Euro to accommodate the economic differences between the Mediterranean group, and the northern group. Well that makes a whole lot of sense, we"ll devalue Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain and leave everyone else in Euro A? Well Malta would have to join Euro B, as would Cyprus; Slovakia and Slovenia might also consider Euro B, and Ireland given its current economic downturn may opt in for that group also.
So that leaves Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands in Euro A. Does that mean we have an ECB A and ECB B? Does the European Commission split along regional lines? EUR A sounds very much like the EMU prior to EMS, and the EMU was a collection of national currencies trading within set bands, which is presumably what Euro A and Euro B would do.
It seems that the concerns of a Eurozone break up are greater than JC Trichet is willing to admit to. Two years ago a learned British scholar put the odds at a cumulative 30%, but lowered it to 20% due to the unlikely scenario that the problems would all hit at the same time. How does that price now? A two tier Euro presents the same problems as the snake in the tunnel, EMU, and EMS only on a two currency basis instead of fifteen. Back to the drawing board Davos.
