what a bad day i was waiting siganl to do sell and i was out and now it is 1.3100 what i do now what about do sell from till end of week any sugestion hope someone will reply me or wait for tomrow

try to see month and week it is down it was up from first week but it will keep going down till 1.2 but up and down try to choose nice point to do sell

With rates so close to zero their tone (hawkish/dovish) was most relevant. In forex there is a saying...buy the rumor sell the news. For the past 48 hours (until the announcement) the rumor has been bought...note the higher highs and higher lows and consolidation at the high but not breaking up. Once the news was released..the rumor part was over, here comes the selling. Classic example of how the market makers play news. Forex is a mix of technicals and fundamentals. Be aware of both and interpret both correctly (which can be learned only through experience and alot of time invested in learning)..eventually you will see these scenarios playing out before they happen. any trader will tell you that the hard part of any system is following the rules that goes with it....there is where newbies fail...hell, thats where i use to fail myself when i started trading back in 2001...

but persistance and lots of blown accounts.....have paid off....[/quote]

only up 500 now au took a hit.. and sl took out cu... leaving me more oportunity to add to the horses running and cutting the mules walking.while they pulled back .at least all but au are heading the right direction..au is down 16 now but i do expect it to run lower with the kiwi.. if not im locked in for 150 pips..

We all do and will make mistakes, it's learning from them that matters.
And rember with any STRAT, everything works some of the time, but nothing works all of the time.

Well as I sit here looking at that eur /usd two hour chart and seeing the break of the upchannel ,and the the short position locked in for 40 pips ,I wonder if the 6611 area will give way on the aus , and the 130 figure . so after moving my stop down . I though to check out the weekly charts, looks like this could be a major down turn back with the trend. At lease into 12750 area. WITH TRAILING STOP> RSI broke tops at 48 and 41

[JAPAN WEEKLY PORTFOLIO FLOWS] Foreign investors sold a further net Y376.3 bln of Japanese stocks in the week to Jan 24th, but reversed to sell a net Y92.5 bln of Japanese bonds, and buy a net Y53.3 bln of Japanese bills. On the other hand, Japanese investors bought a further net Y90.7 bln of foreign stocks, and reversed to also buy a net Y54.2 bln of foreign bonds and a net Y167.6 bln of foreign bills. In sum, there was a net outflow of Y727.9 bln in the week to Jan 24th compared to a revised net outflow of Y2,747.5 bln in the week to Jan 17th.



Japanese [retail sales] contracted for the 4th consecutive month, with sales slumping by a much deeper than expected -2.7% in the Dec year (f/c -1.6%) after a -0.9% fall prior. Over the mth, sales also came in weak to fall by -2.0% after a -0.1% fall in the mth prior. On a same store large store basis, spending signals were even more dreary with a steep -5.0% y/y fall after a -1.8% y/y decline prior. Retail sales are being disinflated by lower prices; but with the pull back in spending also seen intensifying as the economic downturn deepens.


The [NZD/YEN] is moderately recovering from the RBNZ's 1.50% rate cut inspired fall. The pair sharply fell from the pre-event adjustments high of 48.58 to 46.77 in about an hour, then is coming back to the current 47.40-50 level, slightly below the 50% retracement level. Yen sales along with month-end Nikkei buying would be seen, but not much reason to buy the Nzd as well. NY close at the 46's and 46's continues for 7 straight days. The 21-days is coming down to 50.11.

The [US] House of Representatives has passed Obama's $825 bln economic stimulus bill on a partisan 244 to 188 vote. The result was well expected, with the legislation to face a much bigger test when it is debated in the Senate; expected sometime next week. Senate Majority leader Reid is pushing for the stimulus debate to begin on Monday.

[AUD/USD] slipped to a low of 0.6597 in the offshore session; but soon recovered lost ground to peak at a high of 0.6731 heading into the FOMC statement. With the rhetoric indicating the Fed was considering purchasing long term Treasuries, the USD rallied, pressing the unit back down to ard its present 0.6650-70 range. However the real mover has been RBNZ's decision to slash rates by a 150bps to a record low 3.50% earlier this mrg. [AUD/NZD] soared from 1.2536 to a high of 1.2695, levels not seen since Aug 8 2008; with talk of option barriers at 1.2600 being triggered. With little on the agenda for the rest of today, we expect consolidative trading but towards the top end of recent ranges. Equity markets will be watched closely, with another test of the 0.6700 threshold likely. Asian CB supply touted up at 0.6720 for now whilst local support cited at 0.6650.

[NZD/USD] dived by over 2% from 0.5303 to a low of 0.5190 after RBNZ slashed rates by a larger than expected 150bps to a record low 3.50% lvl, saying that the "decline in global growth prospects and the ongoing uncertainty has played a large part in today's decision." Bollard's ensuing comments that NZ was likely to remain in a recession for the 1st half of the yr didn't help; with further rate easing anticipated. A short squeeze has subsequently lifted the ccy back above the 0.5200 handle to ard the 0.5240 lvl. Downside bias is firmly intact though; with a larger than expected annual trade deficit in Dec continuing to threaten the risk of a sovgn downgrade. A retest of the recent low of 0.5165 looks imminent, with the latter break to confirm resumption of the recent down trend for the 0.5000 psychological level. For now, support still appears to be holding at the 0.5150-70 range with funds selling up at 0.5300.
