Steve, Thanks for your quick responses to bug squashing! The original method of KG Relative Strength EA V4c is still taking trades out the wrong way. The last update you completed fixed the display glitch but did not address the execution portion of the EA. I have found that KG Basket Flexible Trading EA V4c has the correct execution, but does not offer all the "bells and whistles" of the Relative Strength EA Versions.

Another question: will the DC trading method also check higher TF's? I have a suspicion that when DC is triggered from the daily chart, and only trading in the direction of the weekly trend, these trades would be very profitable ??? It has been proven that your EA allows for confirmation of lower TF's, but if I put (60m X 24hr x 6days = 8,640mins) as a TF to check, will the EA understand this higher TF input (potentially with lower TF inputs also) in the manner I would like it to?

Note: My demo's of the 3 trading methods were trading along rather well untill my FXOpen demo broker had some glitches. Example: CAD/JPY 12:00 GMT 4 hr bar (High 125.85 and Low 0.50). Was this just a fluke? Did anyone else esperience this in other brokers? Stopped me out before hitting TP so acct is negative (no more trades).

Does anyone have an indicator that can keep track of drawdown. As much as I look I cant find anything.

The KG RS GROUP V1.1 line display problem, mentioned above, shows up only at d1, not at h1 or w1.
Fiddling around to find out more, I tumbled on two more oddities.
The figures on different machines and brokers can differ widely. On a gbpjpy d1 chart, at the same time +- a couple of minutes, I got:
Alp Fxdd Fxpro
usd 47 47 47
eur 41 33 41
gbp 41 41 78
chf 57 68 51
aud 54 49 47
cad 59 51 18
nzd 38 42 43
And on fxpro & alpari with similar setups, some of the curves are completely different: gbp has the same general shape but the whole curve is about 40 points lower - its peaks on Alpari are below 50 while on fxpro they're above 80.
Any ideas anyone?

It might do. The lower tf confirms the D1 by comparing the trigger strength at each tf so long as the unput is an actual chart value - 1,5,15 etc. If you set one of them to the Weekly, then it is comparing the trigger strengths on the weekly chart.

Your settings would be:

  1. W1 = 10080 (7 days a week, not 6)
  2. MN1 = 43200

Try it and see. Set the EA onto, say, a 15 min chart and set the inputs to 60,30,5,1 and see what happens. I am about to try this myself.

I would like to find out why the CCFp indicator bases its ma currency calculations only on USD?
The ma is calculated by comparing lets say CHF with USD or JPY with USD, etc. Not sure why only USD. Does yours calculate against the USD also?

Steve just noticed it's still taking trades it shouldn't. Meaning pairs set to false.

Probably just youthful over-enthusiasm.

Couldn't be a tad more specific, could you? Which broker? Which version? Which method? Which pairs? Perhaps the occasional set file. I believe I might have mentioned the need for details in passing, before now.

Ok, to stop taking the p@@ss, I do need more details. My EA hasn't taken any erroneous trades. Doesn't mean it won't, but until it does I need a few more details.

V4d is attached.

There are a couple of cosmetic changes to the DC user feedback.

More importantly, there is code to close an open DC trade if the rs of the two pairs recrosses. It works fine on a short tf, so it should work on the D1.

but need little improvement on Taking Basket Profit...

this is my experience...

On D1 timeframe
My demo account reached 1000 pips floating before i went to my campus, but when i arrived at home.. the 1000 pips were gone... only 20 pips left

I think you need to turn ON take basket profit feature for DC Method...
so we can close ALL Basket with our target profit

I have started running EA V4 for Dc at the start of this week ON IBFX mini demo account. At the end of the Monday it went to 1100 pips profit and later on Tuesday it went to as low as 20 pips and on Wednesday at 4 GMT it is 900 pips in profit again. I am running it on all pairs. Good show . But better to take profit at a predestined target.

DC is not a basket method..........
adjust your trail stop settings to compensate

Yup.. DC is not basket method...

Basket in DC mean "ALL Open positions"
let say i want to CloseALL the Open Position when reach $20, so i just type 20 in the setting

i prefer closeALL than trailing stop.

Hi, I'm new here, originally I'm from the great FXAW-Forum, but I see here are at the time the more interesting discussion abot the basket-trading, so I jump in... At first many thanks to Steve for this great piece of Art and the constant updates... and to Azjeff for his warm words about the EA thats why I'm here...
I have set up the RS-EA on two demo-accounts. One on IBFX (10k demo). I have running two machines, range and DC. The rangetrader works well since monday, it closes 2 baskets. I was wondering, why the DC machine didn't open any trades but since I did not know that there was a mistake in the routine and I had never seen this at work before, I had no problem with this. Now with the new update I had some trades yesterday evening. I know it's not a baskettrader, but I closed all at midnight for a profit, I did not like to see that all the trades goes in the negative again... Since monday, I think 7% is not that bad. Only one open trade at the time. I closed the DC trades at 300 Profit, the basket trades at 200 profit, and I have an additional close all EA in place that would close the complete account for a 400 Profit.
Okay, the only problem that I have is the other account. It's a tradeview-demo. Tradeview is a 5-digit Broker. The EA did not work here. I looked closer and found out, that the EA can not work, because the indicators doesn't work here. It make only lines not waves.... I get no messages about mistakes, the indicator draws only a line and says "flat", so it's clear that the EA can not work. Had anyone seen this problem before? Any suggestions what I could do to solve the problem? Like I say before, I had it installed in the same way like the IBFX-demo, so there can be no mistake...
