DislikedAlso V4E, London open, but it is showing only the JPY trigger, the USD appears to be missing.Ignored
Given that this is a daily strategy, how likely is 3? I introduced this feature because contributors were seeing a need for it. If you guys want me to, I can make it an optional input then you can turn it off if you want. It will be easy to code.
Re the insufficient trades thingy in basket trading. Two things cause the EA to cancel an individual trade within a potential basket:
Just because the value of a trigger is rising generally, does not mean it is rising against all of the others that will make up the pairs in its trading basket.
There are so many basket trading filters now that it is a wonder it trades at all. Try some less stringent settings:
The looser your filter settings, the more baskets you will get and the higher will be your drawdown.
The tighter your filter settings, the fewer baskets you will get, but they will hit their tp more quickly and the dd will be less.
I have turned off all the time filters on one of my demos to try to generate some baskets. If this does not work, it will be bug-hunting time again.
DislikedRe the DC close on reverse thingy. The EA takes a trade based on the cross-over of the relevant triggers. If those triggers then re-cross, then one of these three things will happen:
- A highly profitable trade will lose a lot of its profits before hitting its jumping stop, or fall into loss if you are not using one.
- A barely profitable trade will turn into a loser before hitting its distant stop.
- The triggers will re-cross again, and the trade will become profitable.

QuoteDislikedAlso, a thought, with the DC crossover after a trade is open, would it be worthwhile to have it go through the reverse of the TF set to open a trade?
i.e. 240 then 60 to open, when the 60 crosses back, closure pending, when the 240 closes back, AND the 60 still crossed, then close it? Just an idea.
Ta.
You will find it in the Daily Cross inputs section. It defaults to false, so you will have to turn it on.
Sundog, I have been thinking about your close on recross only if the next lower tf agrees. Isn't a cross/recross on the D1 such a massive move that this extra check is irrelevant? Will not the lower tf be in agreement anyway, or the two indices would not have recrossed?
I have mentiond before that I am thinking about adding an extra entry filter, to take the trade after the two indices have moved X points away from each other after a cross. Maybe the same for closing an open trade after a re-cross? What do you think?

DislikedV4g is attached. I have added Eddie's option to turn off the DC close on recross thingy. I have not done anything about displaying its status or added anything to the user guide yet, so the input you are looking for is:
- CloseDcTradesOnRecross
You will find it in the Daily Cross inputs section. It defaults to false, so you will have to turn it on.

Dislikedi think the EA should only apply the CloseDcTradesOnRecross filter only if recrosses happen on several Time-frames.
Because sometimes recrosses could happen say on a 5 min TF(just a retrace) and it doesn't happen on the 15 min TF(confirming the retracement on 5.
min TF)
Like you said if the EA closes out the trade on a 5 min TF- you could be closing out the trade pre-maturely and could miss out on big moves since you are taking it off the Daily crossings
So i would suggest that the EA should only close out the trade if RECROSS happens on 1...Ignored
