[CABLE] has topped 1.3800 on the back of the latest headlines from [PM BROWN] who says that UK monetary policy is not based on targeting exchange rates. The entire Gbp slide seen in Asia has now been reversed but the bullish reverse for techs has intraday players fast rethinking outlooks and so targeting a possible break towards 1.3900. Note next resistance seen 1.3848 (23 Jan intraday high) with system stops likely to follow.

e/u left hanging in the breeze.. gbp is the trade for today... e/u pa is ugly.. staying flat on e/u and nothing on g/u.... e/u seems to want to stay pretty close to 1.29... these ranges on e/u are KILLING me...

on last downtrend, at 1H chart, the EU retraced to 78 level.

Expecting a downmove very soon.

this may help... watch this.. it might be the canary in the gold mine...

i would confirm this in my mind first.. someone else told me this..the domino affect is ... eu gu uj and dow usually coralate too.. i know lots use ej.. maybe this is even earlier.. but i dont know...

Close correlation between [AUSSIE] and the DJI. The latter has made a stirring comeback this session having opened in Europe about 65 down.

yes it has been looking to be setting up a short , but with u s ex home sales coming out in a few hours and gold over 900, i would not expect it to go to
far south, then again anything is possible

The latest press from the UK is certain to take the edge off the Pound with traders talking about a report in the Evening Standard that mulls PM Brown being forced to [DELAY] the UK [BUDGET] due to the timing of the G20 on March 14th, or a leaders summit in the UK in early April.

It took a while, but [COMMODITIES] are now grinding higher again, as the latest rebound in EU equities gathers a bit more momentum (Dax, FTSE and Cac-40 have now been 42-79 pts ahead) and has spilled over to US stock futures (Mar Dow contract now +46 ticks vs -99 ticks and now over the 8k level). Mar Nymex crude just hit a new session high at $47.05/brl, eclipsing last Fri's late peak and almost $2 off the lows seen so far today. Recall, the nearest upside objective is $47.40 from Jan 9. Gold also having another go at the upside and back above the psychological $900/oz level. In fact, bullion just reached a new intraday peak of $907.40, which means a couple of the next bullish targets were surpassed leaving $912.25 exposed. The rebound in oil and the yellow metal is based on the view that a recovery in equity/economic sentiment should also improve demand.

Among all firms, 47% anticipate falling demand this year, the highest on record, with 79% of factory firms expecting a drop in output. About 39% of firms expect to shed workers, while only 17% anticipate a net rise in employees. Only 12% of respondent firms expect to increase prices this year, the smallest share since 1998, and 13% expect compensation to decline, the highest share in 5 years.
