trying to take 9 pips + or loss 7 pips taking very small breakout .closed with 9 pips as no time to follow up now . ok

another placed in gbpchf pair with spread 7.
let's see what happen.

The insider bar become bigger than the previous bar & trade trigger buy stop not positive due to spread & next bar open. perhaps no good choice but still it may be positive .
Yes by this time becomes positive 1-9 pips fluctuating ,sl changed to minimise risk.

half close with 20 pips profit next half run with sl above buy price .let it free run with ea taking care

after the break > now , another pending order sell stop already deleted after the buy stop triggered & sl also come into action for the triggered one .Ther ea ( swiss_army_ea) I set to manage the trade close the rest half with 8 pips profit .
Not bad taking extreme risks/uncertainity also can be tradeable by this system.

Hope apply live later.

These trades did not move all that well, so I removed about 95% of my position and wound up making money over all.

Just sitting , another taken.triggered buy stop, 19 pips now sl set just to positive side .half close & rest on ts to run or die .free trades only .I enjoy free coffee indeed!!

There was very good breakout in eu with eur cpi positive news and I was about to take but due busy in the office could't but now placed at the bottom perhaps .go either side ------sometimes not deleting the opposite pending orders may work too.

Oh no ! by mistake the buy stop was placed only 1 pip away from the previous bar high though I do 2-3 pips away & here in eu due to low spread it was placed 1.3242. sotake loss 42 pips but sell stop was triggered too, lets see what happen.Anyway placed buy stop again & better stay far away during news time.

The same question. I saw you ignore the pin bar before the IB.
When you took this enter, how did you do when the price approaching the low of the pinbar?
As a newbie, everywhere is a pa setup and everywhere is a r/s. so I may think there is a pin, the price may come back to show respect to the pin. Obviously, I am wrong.

How would you do to when this south way break is following a pin bar pointing north? This is just one example. As I learn more, I found more confused when several contradict pa setups one following another.

The DIBS method is a different approach to entering a given market then a Price Action setup. As you read this thread (and Bemac thread) Peter Crowns talks about the time of day and getting in on the trend of the day. Which may be the same overall trend of the market.

As you read more of this thread you will understand more about the DIBS method.

Did Peter say that he uses a 20 Moving Average as his trailing stop? Does anyone know how he uses it?

Does he wait for price to touch it or perhaps close on the other side?

Is it an EMA or SMA...and are they on the close??

Peter will use a 20 sma on a larger time frame as a trailing stop once his DIBS trade catches a big wave.

OK, you got me. I did read the posts, I actually printed the 12 page PDF and have it in my truck, I read it whenever I can. BUT, I could have paid more attention. I am so excited to have found this method. Are you all trading this still daily and are there any other places you all gather to discuss this fine method? I trade fibs only and love this idea...

Started reading about DIBS a week ago
I love price action
here is my first demo trade bought 2 lots at 1.36680 G/U
sold 1.0 at 1.3691 then 0.5 at 1.3684 (chicken)
letting 0.5 ride currently up 63 pips I want to pull it but I already made a profit
What are thought about T/S of maybe 15

Hi folks:
Been reading this forum for months, yep, the whole thing, and the other forums that relate and i'm very excited. I've been scalping unsuccessfully and want to look at longer time frames. I took this yen trade this morning and got out at approx. 1:1. My challenge is I'm using an ECN because I don't want to get ripped by a mm, so don't have the capital to do 2 lots yet. Thanks to Peter, Jarroo and everyone who makes this a great thread.

Nicely done bigjim. Trust me you don't need 2 lots. You can use 1 lot and spilt it. or 2 mini lots or 2 micro lots.

The main goal of good DIBS trade is getting to the free trade, catch the overall trend and letting it ride.

This has been bugging me for a while, and I've been trying to think of ways to get around it. For those using Oanda, how do you manage good looking short signals when you're long, and vise versa? Since you can't hedge, do you have one sub-account for long positions and a different one for short positions?

Great to hear from you again, your posts are amazingly informative and everyone here appreciates them. My challenge is that MB Trading only has 1 mini lot as it's minimum, and I only have a grand in account. If I use 2 mini lots with an IB of any size, I will be risking a big percentage of my account per trade. Any suggestions other then going to Oanda, I really want to stay with an ECN, hate the idea of getting cheated, even though I'm so small they probably wouldn't even care. Keep postings, I really enjoy your thoughts.
