I am scalping so my SL is 30 pips below entry

I use fractals, so when I see 'my' entry, I use the last High fractal as my SL.

sometimes it's 10, 20 or what not, but never equals more than 5% of my account balance

I scalp large lots, so try to wait for perfect entry and keep SLs tight.

Looks like a possible retrace back to @1.2907 - 1.2915 (or higher) then back down again if the trend continues? (remember - newbie speaking).

Philly US bank share index fell to new 14-yr low on concerns of more asset writedowns and need for capital to keep banks whole. Talk is back for a govt "bad" bank to buy toxic or hard-to-value assets and possible nationalization of the troubled ones if all else fails.

oils up dollar strong..but stocks dropping s&p briefly dropped under 8k.. maybe after market closes eu will retrace before asian open.. then drop again... dont make sense.. somethings gotta give..

Just got back home. It does seem to have bounced very nicely at S1 there and now that the 2880 QP is holding as the bottom support line, I'd say todays movement is likely all in, barring some spikes here and there.

I've got lower BB's on 3m to 20m charts at 2860-70 that should hold price if it does wander below the xx80 level as well. M1 seems to be the top with a BB convergence there as well.

Nice scalping range if anybody's up to it. My BB settings for that 3m to 20m channel are either 11 or 12 if someone wants to experiment...

I'll be watching you and kujo's retrace theory as well... back sometime this evening.

You are 7 hours ahead of New York, meaning that NY Open (0800est) is 3:00pm your time.

You are 2 hours ahead of London, meaning that London Open (0800 London time) is 10:00am your time.

Edit: You can set up your timezone in your ForexFactory profile and then you will always have the open/close on the FF home page.

FWIW, that Bollinger Band setup I referred to earlier is frightfully slow but if you can stand it, makes the pips in this kind of range. Longed from 2875, closed at 2910 for 35.

Setting is 11 for an MT4 5m chart, 12 for 15m should be pretty close. I hide the center line and don't use it on low TF's. You'd have to ignore it on Mt4 ((I think)).

Pivots for today from 5pm EST. Decent range between them so mind those QP's again.

Price break from Central back below M2 is unclear atm. It could be the bias for the asian session again like last night... makes senses in this strong downtrend.

OR... it could be stop clearing below to clear the way for the retrace north that we're all still looking for... also makes sense. It's very tricky right now. :nerd:

I won't be surprised whatever it does, I just have no idea what it will do.

Scalping the BB's in the meantime... 30-40 pip range can't be ignored...

ADD note: At the session open when price does this, I'll only scalp pro-trend which means no more longs until I see how price is reacting to support. If it looks aggressive then it's shorts only on retraces, unless and until things settle down into a clear channel. That's just me tho.
