it is a fundamental topic you bring up. "trust" suppose there is a random data set, and you have a rule that makes profit in it for 8 years in a row. the data is still random!
it is only a matter of time before it is bound to fall apart, and a new rule would have done better.
so "trust" is not a part of my trading venacular. i simply acknowledge that i can blow my entire account trading the rules that i have backtested. i never trusted anything, because like i have always said, there is no way to explain why charting systems work.
