But on mt4 they basically cancel each other out. My profit stays the same, and one trade wins and one loses.So far I have found if for example I am plus 20 short, and I initiate long, as long as I close the short +10 or whatever, it works out. Providing that the direction has actually changed, and that it isn't a whipsaw from noise, stop hunting etc.

Do you use MT4?

I've been looking at a set up, I had one loss, and then a win, when the direction on 1hr turned on me.


But it seems to have resumed its downward bias and currently in a mild retracement, will be looking for entry and if does not retrace more than what it is doing now will be looking for profit to the 1.313 level

I'm seeing the same thing within 1.35 to 1.36 level.

I usually trade options. There is a way that you can hedge using them, but there is always some risk involved.

Imagine this current PA. 1-Sell a put, with strike price equal to 1.3295.
2-Buy a put with strike at 1.3296
3- Buy a call with strike at 1.35.
4-Place a short position equal to each one of the others resting @ 1.3285, with 50 pips profit objective and 50 pips stop loss.

Scenario development:

If the price comes below 1.3295 you are gaining money in the 2 and 4 action. You have the right to sell also derivated from the 1 action, what you should do in order to offset losses.
The 4 position will pay you at least the same that you have losted in 3 action.

The opposite scenario. If it goes beyond 1.35. You will win in the 1 and 3. Will lose in 2 and position 4 is not initialized. Your loss is compesanted by the action 1, and your profit limit is illimited until the optiion expiration date.

i think the highest eu will go up to 1.3520 for today so i will go short around that price.
