Gregam, I happen to like what the original poster of this thread presented in his first post....He applied his trading position along with a strategy and opened up his process to others to enhance or judge... I for one understand the need for a sense of community in trading... I just don't care much for anyone throwing out pips in the green, without a preface of strategy...

I have been reading these posts about what should be posted or not, and have a comment as well.
Of course, anyone will post whatever they want, whenever they want, within the rules, and they are free to do so. But keep in mind as to why they are even posting.
Consider that there are generally two types of posts: posting of what was/is/should be traded only, and posting of why a trade, trading strategy or observation was/is/should be considered.
So the first type (and I have posted this type before
) is really not much use other than entertainment, confirmation, or just plain chit chat. Let's face it, people like to be social and if you are in the boonies like I am (or locked up in your cave) you have no one to relate to, except maybe your family. And they don't want the details of what you are doing but only "did you make any money today?" This forum gives us a place where we can relate to others of "like mind" (relatively speaking 
). For you newbies, please consider those posts as they really are as there is not much trading benefit for you in them.
The second type of post, the why, is what a newbie wants to filter in and pay attention to. Knowing the difference between these types of posts helps you really learn something, which I believe is the best reason in coming to this thread at all.

Many of us love hearing what the more successful traders strategys have been trading these markets and any insight is beneficial.
While I appreciate what I think you're trying to say, the fact is that he himself has repeatedly said since post #7 that he uses no indicators, and can't and won't explain his methods or strategies whatever they are.
Near as I can tell, that pretty much leaves you to deal with the generic "I think it's going up or down" or some variation on that theme, enhanced by esoteric sounding references to some kind of analysis based on who knows what and so on.
Don't get me wrong, anybody can post anything here on FF that doesn't violate the rules, but that doesn't mean that all things posted have any practical value. You have to make that determination, and apparently you have. No worries. But don't think you're learning anything in the process from "it's going up or down". Even if 100% accurate, what did you learn? How do YOU apply it?
Many new traders here know little to nothing about the traditional indicators and basic strategies available to them. There are almost countless threads devoted to both of the above, and a few that that are chock full of "learnable stuff" for you to sort thru, ask questions about, and come to an evaluation on.
If you're a newer trader on this thread ((or several others that come to mind like Cobra's THV thread)), and you want to know about pivots, fibs, or various other trading thingys, ask away and I promise you that I or any one of several others here will answer you in a practical manner to the best of our ability either by post or PM, or refer you to a better thread for detailed instruction by proven traders with track records that have stood the test of time.
If and when you start thinking the nickel is dropping, and you want to take a shot, like Bemac said, "go for it." If it stinks, the whole world will know soon enough, but if it's golden, then the nickel is dropping and you'll remember that for a long time... until you stink again. It's unavoidable.
I'll be very honest here and speak only for myself. I have a 3 part agenda. I enjoy seeing and hearing how others move forward becuz of some crumb I may have dropped either intentionally or inadvertently. I enjoy it when someone learns something from any of the other very capable traders here. I enjoy learning from others here so that I can move forward my own self.
If you manage to avoid a scrape, bruise, or trainwreck as a result, then your time here has been well spent. If someone consistently gets under your skin, put them on your ignore list. I do that myself, and am very certain that I'm on more than a few as well.
On the other hand, if someone wants or needs an audience, especially at the expense of others, then they need to start their own thread soonest, and "let the market decide" the value of their stuff.
BTW Tradewell... great post earlier.

Once again, I did not do anything except repeat what you have frequently stated your own self about your trading style without any inferences. Period.
You are the one that has said you don't use fundamentals. You don't use technicals. You won't "reveal" or explain whatever it is that you do. You offer no strategy nor any insights into one, and you admonish everybody to "develop your own, but don't listen to anybody else" which a genuine noob is supposed to do exactly what with?
So unless I've missed something, ((and I just took you off my Ignore list where you've been since Dec 17 just long enough to read all of your posts since then but don't worry, it was temporary)) what exactly does that leave except the very thing you yourself have posted... either your opinion of someone else's opinion, or your opinion of price direction as the result of a complex, involved strategy that can't and won't be explained, and relies neither on Fundamentals or Technicals, one of which you ignore and the other which you find hilarious. You can't have it both ways.
Why is it that when you post something, it's sage and helpful advice meant to inspire, and when I quote exactly what you have said, it's disrespectful and ridiculing? You were the one to post on your second day at FF that you found all of us indi traders hilarious so who's doing what here to who here?

You guys are rediculing my statements, when in fact I am simply stating my OPINION. For instance I think it is hillarious that most of you guys use indicators, however if that works for you, then good luck.
As you can see in my disclaim, I do not wish for someone else to follow my analysis. My approach is very involved, and subjective so I will not try to explain it here.
Fundamental reasons do not concern me, as I have seen from prior experience their inability to accurately forecast future value.
I am simply stating my findings but it is ultimately up to each individual traders to use their own system to come up with trading decisions.
Thank you for backing me up. I am glad to give advice on the subject of trading, but due to the fact that I do not use indicators many here think I am full of it.. I do not intend to explain my system thoroughly on this thread or anywhere else as it would take far too much space. Furthermore most people here would find it useless as this system is very subjective (it is designed for my personality and works well for me).
