There is no certainty in gold direction. Such a tragic event does not drive the gold up... it is just illogical. What exactly does this bombing mean to investors/speculators? I sure as hell do not know. But one thing I know for sure... fundamentals have not been working well in forex or futures. Saying something like "will" is vastly overconfident. I will predict with 50 percent certainty that gold will go up, this means that I am 50 percent certain that the gold will go down as well.

Here is what I see now on the weekly:

The "longest ever" weekly candle was followed by one of the shortest we have seen in a while. Given the holiday week, that was not so unexpected. Nevertheless, there were some good trading opportunities, though I was not trading. Going forward, I expect this week to be a relatively smaller range again. Given this holiday mode, my bias is neutral for the week.

Blue rectangle is expected range; yellow rectangle is less expected area of PA. Blue line is the center of the channel.

shorted eur/usd & was stopped out .was hoping the gap up would have closed,mabe stop was to tight

hic, when market opens, gold jump up 100 p from 877 to 888 and on the way to maybe 930 now. Both E/U and gold are up, I regret I were not long at low price

the reason why i have short on eur/usd is mainly opening gap and isreal and gaza. ofcause GMAC

Well at this point of holidays, eur/usd's rally is just noise...Gold markets are not open yet as well, and pre market action usually subsides closer to the open time.

Right now Hong Kong, Sydney and NY Globex are open. When London and the Nymex open is when the real moves will start. They'll either jump on the train or bring out the hammer.
