I love this pair again! It keeps making these wonderful consolidation patterns (trading 15 min charts for entry)...straddle both sides, let it pick a direction ride along, hop off! Why can't it always be this cooperative?!

SIDE NOTE>> Done trading for tonite with mixed results as IBFX has in the last 36 hrs ((that I've noticed anyway)) gone to this "Off Quotes" thing that I've only seen rarely before this. Far more frequently than usual, when I try to execute something trade related, I'm getting 4-12 second delays before the order is replied to at all, and then the twist is it finally says "Off Quote", not "Requote" which I'm real familiar with. The mixed results is due to the delays in order handling.

Several times a trade has even failed to close when the SL or TP was hit... Price went right over the thing and didn't trigger... that's been real weird to watch and has gone both ways...

FWIW, this is across UJ, EU, and GY pairs in periods of slow to medium price movement. Biggest gripe tonite is just missed a perfect GY entry a half hour ago seconds before it began it's drop of 70 pips...

The Journal log shows my entry attempt with price and then some 8 seconds later lists it as "Failed" while price had dropped 20 pips at least on the way to +70. I usually have 1-2 pips locked in as default variation from quoted price to eliminate that scenario, but now even that isn't working. That's just one of nearly a dozen instances similar to that today. Can't trade that in this market...

So any IBFX'ers out there, be careful and check that Journal log if in doubt. If you're trading live and don't know or understand what that Journal tab is on your Terminal taskbar, stop trading till you do is my advice. It's not complicated. It's the only tool YOU have to protect your $$...

You may be right. I don't hear much about chess on media anymore. This game is popular throughout Central Asia, Northern Afghanistan, South East Asia (Including India). If I correctly remember once USA also had very good chess players. Indians are very good at this game and also in snooker. They had world champions.

edit: Two things can happen, higher highs or continued correction...this is a tough one to call. I am thinking uptrend may be in tact. Not convinced enough. EURAUD safety trade doesn't seem to work anymore - it used to go up on both EUR strength and weakness vs dollar, as the Aussie seemed to either over react to the downside or not go up with as much ferver as EUR vs. all pairs. I am tempted to long AUD as it looks less over extended on daily and is doing a nice intraday up-down candle pattern, slowly creeping up. On teh other hand the EURAUD...can't tell long or short anymore since that correlation seems broken. Euro...hmmm...keep ya posted.

Chess and trading are equally good for me ...... same results ..... no winnings.

I yesterday promised some friends that will try to go with the trend, but couldn't resist going against it ...... and trend changed in my favor!!!!....... Believe me, I didn't set today's trend.

so far good range trading has been selling against 1.4300 and buying at 1.4210. one of these levels will have to break with the 1.4300 being touched most often.

Hey everyone just wanted to say whats up and intro myself a little. ive been readiing through the forums over the past 6 months and there is a lot of great info on here! thank you to all that have contributed to that.

ive been trading forex for about 8 months. i worked with a practice account for about 4 months and have been trading a live account since july. it is def a learning process and very exciting albiet frustrating sometimes. I think the big moves will come when the European session starts.
Currently, in the Asian session, the EUR looks tired...It doesn't move too much.

there will be unification of world chess champion (Viswanathan Anand[IND] vs Vladimir Kramnik[RUS] -- won by Anand) and world cup champion (Veselin Topalov[BUL] vs Gata Kamsky[USA] --not yet)...Anand will play the winner between Topa vs Kamsky and the final winner will become the undisputed world champion.

Russia has more GM's than any other country I think, but in the recent Chess Olympiad it is Armenia and China that become the 1st and the 2nd

USA's greatest player will be Bobby Fischer, he was considered the best in his era because he was the only player that challenged the Soviet chess domination and finally beat them all. Who don't remember World Championship between Fischer and the best Soviet player Spassky?..
