We are trying. But regarding the point about sideways etc., price patterns have been used for years very successfully in all kinds of markets, and this is just one take on it, so I don't see why anything should be any different.

What are anyones thoughts on trading using this system during the end of December 2008 till the middle of January 2009?

Last Dec 07 till Jan 08 I felt the brunt of the market...LOL.

Just follow the trade rules as laid out by H1H1 with proper money management and you should be fine.

Oops sorry to get out of track. I do trade the 30 mins too and follow the rules too. Just added the extra indicators help me determine the trend and direction to take in addition to the rules of this systems.

I'll keep it to myself next time then

Trade took me long @ 1.4319
Then stopped me out on the down side @ 1.4248.......

On the up side...i made +10 on the recent gbp/usd short......

Also becareful that E/U trade was a counter trend trade, the market has been tanking all morning then went up for 2, 30 min bars then after that your IB appeared but I wouldnt have taken it long due to the unwinding of the euro today. I wasnt about to pick a bottom. So becareful trying to pick bottoms for the day

I would also add that the trigger bar straddled the pivot, and the immediate candles following the trigger were two hanging men as inside bars which indicated that the upside could have been limited.

WHY are you trading in the middle of the day when there is zero volume.

In the past 3 weeks we have been trading this system and Pairs have been sideways and the last week we have been in a little Daily trend. I have seen no differance in the way we trade this system. Since we are trading off of only 2 bars, I can't really see it making any differance at all. End of discussion. Keep it positive in here please, I can feel the doubt.

This thread is not here to teach new traders. I do not have a Phd. in the Forex market. I would strongly suggest you take a Forex course before trading this or ANY system. If you are intent on bringing negative "Kharma", as CCE says it, then I would rather you leave and find another thread. I don't care what anyones mentor has said, but apparently those mentors haven't said a whole lot since you are looking around in here. I can't say what this will bring in the future, but I do know that the more backtest, the more I can't believe that nobody has ever come up with this one. Maybe it's because it is so easy people think that it can't be.

And No, I did not have 10 standards on it.

Great strategy simplicity is always key. Just take things one day at a time I guess.
