This may be a bit off track. I trade inside bars from the daily charts only. I look for false breaks. Wide stops but usually very profitable.

It looks like the 30 Minute is quite reasonable for the newbys, however, I will be still taking my Dailys.

How often does an IB signal a change in trend? Is there a way to tell if a particular IB is going to change 'trend of the moment UP to Down?

H1H1,

One quick question, so it's the inside bar being bearish or bullish that decides the direction of the trade? wow, that was a real noob Question.

Thanks

So when trading this method say, in a ranging market. Do you ever place an order @ both top and bottom of the first bar to catch the trade when it breaks?

Have a good nap,

Maybe I'm wrong, but I understand that definition of an IB should be something like:

"An inside bar is a bar which is completely within the range of the preceding bar, i.e. it has a higher low and lower high than the bar immediately before it."

I think you are not showing IB in your examples , I undestand your IB are marked with an arrow ....

My question:

Is there another definition for IB ??? or that definiton is flexible ?? and How much flexible could be ??
Juntando pips .... esa es la idea

Yes. but its a little more Risky. We can usually tell which way to set the limit order by looking at the preceding candle, EXA; Example in my last post.

HardHead,

Good idea for a thread. On a systematic basis narrow range inside bars are a great tool for executing trades. Very few tools offer such a good risk to reward scenario. I hope this thread finds some interest because it has a lot of potential.
