Structurally, 1.35 is an area where you will see large orders short anticipating a move to (BELIEVE IT OR NOT) .65. Yes that .65.

I am joining this move for now. So I am short at 1.3535.

On the flip side, if 1.35 holds and we build value above....then look for 1.65

Downrivertrader thanks for your opinions and help to all of us trying to learn.

So how about a new thread:

EUR/USD IS GOING TO 1.6500 or .6500

,Well here we are 3679-99 area It sure would be nice if we had a test of that support from that breakout last week but I guess that would be to predictable.
In @ 3690 and I like that bounce down from 3679 and the 5,15,30, and hourly all pointing down. Liked to add the 4 hour to that please, lets see what happens after lunch. Things stirring up around 3645.

Sure doesnt seem like shes finished climbing.

I sure didnt make many $ on e/u as I got tangled up this morning.

Dun good on g/u though and ok on a/u .

watching a/u 6655 after lunch

The breakdown correction has lost power and it’s established at 1,3700.
However, I believe the trend would continue to climb until the 1,4 level.
This could be an exciting week.

Here's a chart that I first posted back in 2005. It may be worth watching as December plays out. On the surface, it looks like we are in an excellent shorting area soon and a move down thru the 1.20 level is materializing for 2009. The flip side is that if we retake the median line, then we could move back up to test the top of the channel.

I tell ya what, To start with Im following the 5, 15, 30,1 hr. 4hr. outta here and when we get there Ill close that last open position.

Here is something interesting....

USD/CHF plummets 400 pips.

Meanwhile, EUR/USD spikes, and STOPS SUDDENLY. (At the 50% fib from down trend.)

EUR/GBP got above .90, and sat there.

This could be interesting.

Whyyyyyyy does people always want to sell strength and buy weakness ?
They're participating in the most trending market there is and they ALWAYS want to catch tops/bottoms.. What am I complaining about ? Someone needs to be on the other side of the trade

It's so fun to read all these threads started a week or so ago after a big move like this. Shows how easily it is to get caught with your pants down.

Is the morale to the story, stay out of the market around big news releases (interest rates, gdp, jobs) unless you are a gambler?

I think you have just revealed the most secret in FX Market. And it is:

1. Put your mind behind the door! (it means: Don't make decisions based on FEAR/GREED)
2. Trend is the only friend you can trust in this market. (it means: Always BUY the strength & SELL the weakness)
3. Patience, Patience, Patience.

With these three + FX Market, Money is only a matter of time.

People are looking all over the place for a holy grail! They are SO blind. Its in front of them. YES, The FX Market itself is the holy grail if you understand.

Also, I'm late to say Happy Birthday (excuse me if I'm late) & Marry Christmas aediaz1. You have just lighten me in this darkness.

Manage probability while following the TREND.

If you read it correctly, the move was anticipated out of 2740 to 3300 as drt brought up
I chimmed in with the same outlook with the following areas of interest to be evaluated for reversal , retrace or continuation.

After the move to 3300 I mentioned I regreted closing the last of my longs because I questioned a possible major trend change.

So we are in it and 4570 area is my next area of interest.

In the mean time Ill trade intreday such as yesterday sell at 4192 and using 4106 as a guide as it was buys above and sells below as I looked at 3900 area as support.

As far as drt goes he has more gains than losses and no he dosnt come out on top with every trade.

Areas of interest today
4581
4270-support
4017- if support breaks
