It appears like people have done profit taking and are re-setting longs on the USD... or is it forming a S/R there?

I entered manually long @1.3314 after that quick PA, now watching to exit with a nice scalp

Edit: Chicken out 10 pips up.. better wait for a break up or down

Must be due to auto bailout plan collapsing

Just got this feed from my brokers....

Senate Republicans and Democrats were unable to reach agreement on a bailout plan for U.S. automakers. Reid said the Senate will take a procedural vote tonight on a House-passed plan, though he doesn’t expect it to be approved. “It’s over with,” Reid said on the Senate floor in Washington. “I dread looking at Wall Street tomorrow. It’s not going to be a pleasant sight.” - Bloomberg

Major setback, if that comes to conclusion, historical day tomorrow i guess...

My guess is that it will depend on the correlation with DJI, we've seen mixed correlations lately, but more on the dow up, euro up, with futures going down added to the mix i won't risk a forecast, we're under unprecedented conditions, i'll watch, learn, and scalp a bit if i can

P.S - There are a lot of companies in Europe that work for the US automotive companies... But same is true for US companies, like Johnsons Controls.. once more I believe it'll be a case who will take less hammering, take the best of the worst, to see who won't be so negativily affected.. All of this, of course, if the bailout isn't approved.

And FXCM customers can't trade without calling in. Go figure. They've restored my account balance but can't trade until around 23:00 est. frock

The big move in S&P has probably happened. Down -40 now. Might go lower but more likely a short squeeze before the am opening. Then lower.

Might be able to get back in 1.28 after all (just kidding)

Strange how EURO showed strength on news, while AUDUSD fell. The EURAUD trade was the one at 1.99...I was looking earlier. No matter if EURUSd went up or down, relative to AUD it went up. That trade is getting tired though, for the record.

I confess I did do a little quicky trade though, closed it for +6 pips. realized I should not be in this market right now...it's too risky.

Most likely. They were talking earlier this afternoon that it wasn't likely that everyone would be on the same page. Just wish I could have caught some of the yen pairs as they collapsed. Well, no sense in getting upset, catch ya tomorrow. Maybe you can throw one of these tomorrow to get me out of the dulldrums. Later.
