There are some reports (BBC) here in the UK that the government are deliberately "Masterminding" the elevation of the Euro in order to lower the value of the GBP. This is to increase exports from the UK. There are reports of French shoppers crossing the channel to spend in the UK taking advantage of the recent VAT rate cuts and the strength of the Euro etc. I have no knowledge of this ever happening before, in fact, it was always UK shoppers crossing over to France...Ignored
