We may see 1.3050. If rejected there, the 4 HR triangle would be redrawn and extended, implying an even longer consolidation than previously speculated.

somebody please explain the spike in the euro. all of my indicator have topped out.

look at the 4H, just as I planned at 1.2805 bounce test on 20SMA, but I bail way too early. UUUGGGHH!

No worries on this end. I was certainly not trying to sound arrogant, just give a little validity to my trading experience. The fact is that I DO take losses. It's just not common. In fact, sometimes I think it would be better for me to take losses than to sit through days, or even weeks of Draw down. Those trades can take a toll on you emotionally. By the way, those of you who have kept mentioning the DOW. The euro and the DOW have been tightly correlated recently but that correlation really dropped of last week, so until that correlation returns, be careful expecting those two to run hand and hand.

For the most part I was just arguing for the sake of arguing.. heh..

seriously though.. I have an upper trendline at 1.2950 and we have broke through.. And seems to be holding up so far..

To make a more useful post. There is a Weekly R2 Pivot at 1.3007 along with a daily R1 pivot (not real strong pivot because that pivot was with 12 GMT start time)

1.30 round number is always strong support/resis

after that I don't see anything somewhat strong until 1.3050- 1-3058

1.3058 is a longer term fib drawn from weekly chart so might prove to be pretty strong.

On 5M chart there was bearish divergence that just showed up.

Flat at the moment.. watching the DJI for clues and news on the automaker bail out. The close correlation with the DOW seems to have broken away at the moment. Although a larger move in the market would most likely still move EU and EJ with it

well. i'm short now. we will see when i take profit. 7 pips from 1.30 i see a short after its hit

There has been little in tehway of a retrace, even when oil and markets tumbled, this relative strength is telling us something, No?

Looks like deleveraging of hedge funds has been almost finished, the correlation between us stock markets and EURUSD is gone. Thank god. It was one of the strangest correlations I have ever seen.

Its definatly not nearly as correlated as it used to be. G/J is still very closely correlated. But the EU and EJ have moments of correlation and discorelation lately.

Possible partial explanation for sudden Euro strength..

EUR/GBP recently hit a fresh nearly 13-year high, which helped to strengthen the euro across the board.

i must say today has been quite interesting. it wouldnt tap the lower wall so i could place my big long. anyways where do we stand now...we reached the upper wall of the uptrend we are in again...we broke the month old triangle...if we go any higher then 1.3015 i would be perplexed. I am already confused as to why the euro got so strong...breaking correlation to usd/jpy..breaking correlation to gbp/jpy..breaking correlation to the dow and oil. anyways..heres the chart as it stands
