Jimmy,

Remember how we talked about your IB on the CAD. I was right, it started consolodating and formed an IB within the IB which was a lot more easy to trade and could have gotten someone 31 pips so far on the rebound.

Possible IB setup on USD/CAD?

EDIT: Negative, under the SMA... sorry, was playing around with templates and saw this without the SMA on the chart.

By rebound do you mean retrace back towards the sma? I saw that too but did not take it since it was a long trade with price under the sma. In hindsight I guess it would have been a good trade to take, except with different expectations on pip profit...

Keep an eye on the price action, people. The shape of the candles...etc I recommend this website if you haven't already.

h1h1,

Thanks for starting this thread. I am new to fx, only a few months so far but been trading minis(futures) for years. The inside bar is what I use as well. I was turned on to the inside bar at the babypips forum and really like the simple way to trade. It beats over analyzing things and overthinking. Its simple yet very effective. I trade all day so I will be an avid follwer and contributer of this thread. One thing I actually have not used is, using IB'S with an ma, I had used stochastics to get in with the trend. Can you tell us what ma you use. It looks like from one of the posts it was an 89 period ma, is that correct? Also if you want to start a chat room on the free chat room channel or use yahoo im or something I am game so we can alll share ideas and what not in realtime that would be great. I think trading is a lonely place and its nice to have people who trade yourstyle. I used to trade the 15 min chart but stepped it up to the 30 and 60 min and soon will move to daily as well to have 3 time frames for more oppurtunity. Thanks again H1H1.

Hi H1H1, I'm finding this thread very informative, thank you. Just a question, if we break a trigger going one way but then we get stopped out later, is this a set up for a trade in the other direction if no other IB appears? Cheers.

Jim could you please let me know if you took this cable IB, and what stopped you from taking it if you didn't. Also you mentioned cable bouncing off the 89 but my cable doesn't get close.
thx,
todd

I cought a nice EURGBP move an hour ago or so. I saw a IB on a 30min and on 60min so I closed half of the position at R1 and still letting the other one ride for now. I was a little weary of going against the trend since the resistance isn't too far.

Letting half of it ride down and moving the stoploss to B/E worked perfect and took my profits at daily pivot and a major R/L

2x15
and 25 with the ride

+55 for first try

tell me what you think of this: version of dibs method with specifics on it using bollinger bands. the reason behind is to make consistent profitable system as expert advisor.

The Daily Pivot Point is at 1.4881 on my chart. Only 8 Pips away. No room for profit.
