nop .. been very busy lately .. had a long drive to attend a close relative funeral ... since i keep going here and there.. i didnt dare to trade .. i like to monitor my trades ... beside... my last week profit is already more than i ever had .. now i can afford a relaxing vacation ...

if i did any trade, will post it here and my journal blog .. thanks for your concern ..

Need your opinion.

Let's say at night I get into a trade on EUR/JPY about an hour before I want to go to bed... but I don't want to close the trade because it's still pippin' my way... I'm expecting a 100+ gain...

When I entered my S/L at the beginning of the trade, I would have entered a Trailing Stop at the same time. If so, how many pip's should that Trailing Stop be for this pair from your experience.

I don't want to give back a lot of pip's but i want to stay in the trade until we get a reversal...

Once, I was up a near +250 pips and I get greedy...I didn't trail it at all... and I put my SL @ BE.....and go to bed with sweet dreams...Guess what the next day, I am surprise to find out my pos close @ BE...with +250 pips disappear in thin air...

What I read from Dr. Elder's book is there should be 50/50 rules...example I should put 125 pips in trail....so if the trade turn, at least I bagged half of my winning....


But it is not logical to put +25 pips trail when u r in 50 pips... I am quite sure that u will hit ur trail.... so I will rather close it with solid +50 pips, if i am going away....


For ur case like +100 pips... I will make +65 pips trail as, 65~80 pips can withstand "normal whip" and keep you in trade...
The trail is a must when u can't monitor...

it is a very wise choice not to trade as u r not ready...

yeah i know about phpbb .. i dont to do the coding everytime i wanna add something .. used it before .. SMF is byfar the most friendly .. cant test v-buletin because its expensive .. huhu
