i closed my position up 10 pips.. before roleover interest... yes i chickend out.. too much conflicting info 4 me...up 3 trades today 47.5 pips in last 5.5 hours and up 120 on the aus/nzd from evening till this evening about 27 hrs..all in all up 167 pips.. am even on my short losses from last week.. maybe i can make some money before friday now..hopfully... i will just look for a good entry that i like..on any pair

Nope - Never - I have a system that works for me and I will usually act fast - both in and out
Have MA's and Bol's on my charts, but rarely look at them
Mostly buy at the bottom / Sell at the top and I stay away from news trading.

I just believe in what I trade
I do use limits to exit 25% of the time though

Ahhh, you have found the key to all candle pattern mysteries grasshopper.

Nothing like a line style chart to blow my best conclusions and ideas out of the water before I dive in and find the pool is dry. ESPECIALLY helpful on those dime a dozen head and shoulder patterns in ranging action on short and medium TF's I'm always railing on.

I honestly don't look at ANY h&s as valid unless it's also confirmed on a line style chart and that's where I get my neckline from as well. just me tho.

thats kindda my thing too.. i buy valleys and sell peeks..it works mostly.. i set buys or sells and sometimes step away from pc for hours sometimes when doing this but with sl lots of times wide ones hundreds of pips.(seems my broker is watching me) .since i never know when or what time an entry is hit.. it seems you are in front pc when doing thuis since your scalping and just get out when you see things going wrong when up or down..it sounds like you have a good system. good luck i may try it with smaller positions..

i also have a double head inverted h/s on my 60 min cht.. it indicates south too..but all i heard in others charts is north.. since we are not in agreement. probably will stay out. but the long term is south and the price is currently hitting resistance and me thinking this is a peak would go short. but on the other hand this mortgage news is killing me.. so i will just read tea leaves and drop a coin. if the coin hits the ground ill give me going short a 50/50 chance..

They may be waiting on news, alright, but it sure looks like the big manipulators ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO NO MATTER WHAT THE NEWS IS.....!

Buy low......sell high, this chart is SCREAMING a message at us, IMHO.

Here's my take on that fwiw, and this could probably apply to most any "bad" USD news these days. That little thing is the result of a decision if I'm not mistaken, not an economic report.

First how long has been since there was any "good" news? It get revised later anyway and turns out to be bad new after all but who cares by then?

Second, since it is a "decision" and not a report, there is at least as good a chance that other nations will look at it as a way in which the US is taking charge of a problem and looking to contain it and set things right or at least better eventually. They may well have to consider similar actions their ownselves before it's all over. So it could wind up being seen as a "positive" irregardless of what the math looks like.

For now anyway. The piper always wants to get paid, but that's down the road they say... and by then "someone" will have figgered "something" out. Right.

So, really it's perspective, and there's lots of that a'rd.
