Maybe when NZ rate and news comes out in 3 hours along with NY close we will get an hour or so of more action.. Might not effect EU a lot but it might stir help kick start some movement.
its shaping up about what i expected.. there is almost some sorta pattern to these charts after a while

Hard to believe the trading range for today is only 140 pips. That is based on midnight EST close.

Attached chart looks similar to one yesterday. Going down sometime soon, and then Algirdas' "buy near 2599" kicks in?

news looks to be fairly negative for the US but i'm sure that was expected

from what i understand (having just woken up an hour ago)..there has been bad news all day. Just looking at the forexfactory.com main page i see all the red for the data..yet...no major selloff today. I guess the market makers are waiting to make their move in the last hour of ny stock market as happens alot lately...which direction..beats me.

I don't know if you realize by using midnight EST the asian session is part in previous day and part in current day.

Think you might have said previously broker sets the time and you can't change it?

so yea..last night i posted a chart showing only horizontal resistances. Today..not much has changed but i am keeping an eye out on a potential triangle on the 1h timeframe which may explain the tight range we have seen all week. curious to see what happens when walls get broken as we have almost reached the end.

He should be able to set the close for anytime he wants if using traderathome's SDX-TzPivots_v3.1

my last post made me realize theres an even bigger triangle then that one on the 4h timeframe. so its a triangle within a triangle. in otherwords...we have to break 1.2750 or 1.2550 for to get anywhere..until then...ranging will continue

No, I can change it, but I'm stubborn. Don't know where my server resides (IBFX?), and my pivots have never been too far off the others (except maybe AK4X), so I've left it alone. Thoughts?

My daily pivot today was 1.2679. Didn't you say yours was the same?

Edit: Suntrader, I was wrong. It was Tradewell who told me his daily today was 2679. What is yours?

Well that is my DP too, actually 1.2680 to be exact which is also what shadowfx has and he is across the pond (?) in UK.

Overnight it was support and all day today is has continued smacking EU on the head everytime it reaches it.

Look at the time on your candles. That will tell you what time they are on, then adjust accordingly in MT4. I think you are GMT -5, but don't set your close that way or you may get weird pivots. I set mine to -2 to take into account NY close.

not a single trade on eur/usd in the past 24 hours...that is impressive by all standards to me...i guess im gaining the patience needed for slow markets...even scalping was like you said...not worth it

Right on Brotha. The only good trades I've made today are off that 2680.

Thanks for the tip (next post) about setting the pivot time. I'm in Virginia so should be same as you, right? Except, does it really have something to do with where IBFX has their servers? I should ask them, I guess, but as I said, it hasn't hurt me to date. I usually ignore all the round-and-rounds about pivots and servers.
