Dislikedcan someone answears to the newbye of this thread? I don't think that to keep posting charts without explaining 1 word would help a lot.
the Internal Bars Breakout system is good ok, but we all agree that it needs some filter to work properly.
what are these filters?
thank you very muchIgnored
DislikedCorre,
As Forex007 pointed out, the James16 thread has great information regarding areas to look to take inside bar breaks. In a nutshell, look for confluences such as fib retracements and support/resistance, trendlines, psychological levels. As Peter Crowns pointed out, going with a breakout in the direction of the weekly and monthly trend also increases your odds.
As an example, let's say there is a downtrend. You might wait for a pullback that lines up with a fib retracement of the down trend and also lines up with former support ( should...Ignored

Dislikedhi jarroo,
I just wanted to say thanks because your inner bar system is truly enlightening. I have been working with them on a smaller timescale though since I cannot determine price action from larger candles and I don't have the ability to stay at the computer all day.
I was wondering if you yourself have had any experience with IB's on smaller timeframes? I have had some success but I just wanted to ask someone with more experience.
Thanks,
BaltoIgnored
DislikedThanks for the reply The problem is that while I can get the momentum of the candle/price down, I still cannot hang through those inter-trend moves that bring the price against you.
That is why I have been trading 5min IB's since I can see direction and price alot better and I am also to stay in a trade for 5-10mins rather than an hour+. Its worked well for me sofar w/ risking 0.5%-1%/pip depending on market depth and movement.
Just wanted to see if you ever played around with them on a smaller TF Thanks!Ignored
