I wont trade now for a very very long time. I know i was very lucky, and how i just keep my trades and never liquidate them(shorted at 1.2677, and held it all the way up to 1.2765, down to 1.2680 where i liquidated it). Im too irrational, i dont want to liquidate when I'm losing.


Man i get too stressed out doing this....

for example... if price has dropped 100 pips, then my sl stays at entry +3 to +10 or whatever it might be and that means there is a 90 to 97 pip cushion on that trade that might then incresae or dercesae as price spikes a'rd. Ahhh..ok..that makes much more sense, as I was trying to figure that one out....yes, I will do a variation of that as well. Normally if my trade is positive by 40 pips, I will then move my stop to break even and then trail stop the remainder...thanks for explaining that one thoroughly.

Yes, but I'm from sweden, and when i deposited money in june(the account is in dollar), the usd/sek= 5.9 or something.

Now it is, 8.3, so I've earned like 35%.

The minimum deposit at hotspot fx, is 7500 dollar, and i blew away like 2800 dollar in one week, so the account value decreased to 4750 dollar.

Today i wanted to withdraw my money, however i wanted to trade a last time

So all in all, i got 6000 dollar now in my account.

Profit:
Initially (in june): 7500*5.9=44250 sek

Today= 6000*8.33=49980

49980/44250=12.9% increase.

Lol im such a lucky bastard..its hilarious how i managed to survive this. I dont think i will never go back, maybe in a couple of years.

I only lucked to today by this stragy:

holding for ages. and close your position as soon as you are in profit. With this strategy, you will get many many small winners, but when u lose, you lose big. However, i didnt get that big loser yet, im quiting before i get it

However, i got that big losing trade last time. I went up from 7500 dollar to 9000 dollar(about 15 winners in a row). When in three very emotional trades the accaount value decreased to 4750 dollar.

if you continue with that risk... you are going to give that 6000 euros away to who knows before the ending of this week. If this is money you can lose it is ok. if not. pelase read about money management before trading

last half an hour of stock market is crucial...we may see another 100-200points up or go back to zero for the day or worse...regardless it will be highly volatile ....personally...im looking for entries after this next half hour when the market calms down

Sidenote:dow/s&p 500 strength=dollar weakness and vice versa...hope all know this by now

i thought about that...the headline was saying oil is at the cheapest in what...3 years...amazing indeed. but then i asked myself...if the correlation between cheap oil and eur/usd was so strong...at least today...wouldnt eur/usd be at the lows by now? Then there is the stock market...it closed at its highs..270points up for the dow which is very similar to eur/usd pa at the moment. We all know by now asian session usually goes against the trend...the trend up to now has been up so we may go down a bit...the question is...is there any reason for us to drop alot?...possibly going to a new low?...If you know any reasons please tell me as i am blind to this possibility.

The correlation isn't quite what it used to be..

for instance bring up a 4 hour chart of EU and Oil.. oil is clearly been in a down trend over the same time period and EU has moved sideways in a range.

EU is actually almost exactly where is was a month ago.. and Oil is down close to $20.

The only currency I trade is EU. But I do watch commodities. Oil Gold Also the DOW. Helpful but not always quite what we expect.

its always time for scalping..although the eur/usd is dead for the time being. as far as euro interest rates go...lets follow what suntrader always says...trade the reaction and not the news...in my opinion it was already built in anyways on sunday/monday

gy and ej are holding up as well, i'm inclined to be thinking the risk appetite issue is currently a bit bigger atm.

could be residual euphoria from the dow close and whatever they're smoking there these days.

Here's the 1hr chart I'm looking at tonite (minus all my indi's and junk) with both pivots and a swing fib on it.

The fib is getting a little dated but price is respecting it well so far and I'll keep it for now., along with the more current one (hidden) that has yet to prove itself (altho the 50% retracement of that one was spot on) .. notice the high topping out right at the 162% extension. doesn't get any better than that.

Hope this helps some of you that sound a little lost from time to time about where or what price is doing. I used to copy to desktop other peoples charts that seemed to make more sense than my own and keep them on my desktop to toggle on as needed when I was starting out.

Feel free to do the same with this one if the reference stuff helps and you don't want all that glop on your charts.
