i see. i had the non repainting version of silvertrend but it was off a little. the dots were way different and so i do like the non repainting version a little better. and i get a text at the close of the bar which is very helpful. i don't always hear an audible alert, which I use to have in my mt4 charts too. I'll look into it a little more.

Look this chart, the ea open two position 12 candles after crossing the SMA 39 HI.

I dont know why, i see the configuration but i dont see anything important.

and sometime open a buy when the price was crossing down the tunel.

what about you? The ea is working ok?

I'm not sure what's going on? it's working ok for me. it looses mostly in the 30 min chart but more wins on a 1hr. that's what my friend was getting. but as soon as price is outside the 39 channels, it should put on a buuy or sell (at least that's the way it's been working fro me) i determined the GBP?USD to be a downtrend on daily chart according to rules in post 110 and so i set the EA to short only. hope this helps.

Yes, the ea is set for both long and short.

Look this chart the ea open a buy inside the channel.

heyfxadvisory..... got your pm..... could you point me to the exact post containing the ea you were speakin of, or better still, post the exact ea.....

it's just a 20 second deal to code in the ability to reverse trades.....

odds are you'll eventually need the ea to determine which trades to reverse rather than just across the board reversing..... meaning, it will only reverse trades that are truely against the larger solid trend......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

hey fx..... here ya go..... there is a new setting at the top, "ReverseTrades"...

default is false which trades as normal.... just switch to true for reversed trades.....

the original ea was something jr had asked me to code long ago and to tell you the truth i can't really recall much about it.......

to be truely effective, the ea would probably need to blend the trades.....h

Has anyone come up with a template for determining the trend? It seems that the SilverTrendSignorepaint is misleading even after the fact. I do not know how silvertrend works, clearly it does not do me any good if it tells me to long even after the fact. Should we just use the NonLagMA color as determining when to get exit?

can somebody code the EA to do this using the 30 min for entry/exit and the 4rh with silvertrend for trend direction?

Hey guys, been a while since I posted. I went underground sort of speak to try to find a way to trade this system. There have been a few successful ways, but not one that is fully successful. Here is what I have come up with. And don’t get me wrong, it is still a work in progress. I keep the EA working Only when I am in front of the PC, anywhere from 1 to 4 Hours a Day. There have been a couple of times where I have turned off the PC with at most 2 trades opened. I try to close all if possible before I close the PC down. If trades have gone south, I leave my PC on and place the Amazing Equity Protector on the Platform Risking 50% of the Acct. For the Most part, all has gone well. All this on a Demo Acct.

Using the GBPUSD, I turn on my PC and open up my Platform with a 1 Hour Chart on the left, and a 1 Minute chart on my right. I set jr2007v4 on the 1 Minute Chart. I will post my settings. I set the EA for a Maximum of 5 trades. Each trade picking up 8 pips. Depending on what the Butterfly Indicator on the 1 Hour Chart is showing, I place the EA for either Shorts only, or Longs only. I decided to go with 1.25% of $10,000.00 Dollars. Splitting the 1.25% between the 5 trades. I will stick with that until I reach $20,000.00. I will then Go with 1.25% of $20,000.00. The whole idea is to have a bigger cushion as the Acct. is profiting. I started with a $10,000.00 dollars Demo Acct. in mid November, I have brought the Acct to 17+k so far.

Using the jr2007v4

I believe these setting will work with the other versions also.

have you thought of having the upper time frame programed into the EA with that butterfly indicator so you don't have to switch manually from long to short? and have the upper and lower time frame adjustable so you see which time frame is best for entry and which time framei s best for trend determination? I'm trying to have it done with an indicator i found a week ago or so.

I have decided to stick with this formula for now. If anyone can add to this, be my guest. So far I have been in profit with lower risk.

I took a look at the butterfly indicator on a 1 min chart to see if it repaints and it does.
