current technical analysis...we have been playing inside the walls of the megatriangle...the one attempt to break to the upside was slowly denied with almost a tap of the 61.8 (green fibs). now 61.8% brown fibs is where 23.6% intersected...1.2515. The uptrend i mentioned in a later post hasnt been broken either.

Conclusion...theres 3 possibilities i see
1)we can be range bound for the rest of the day...with an inverted h&s still a possibility (right shoulder could still form now)
2)break of the mega triangle can come at any point (doubt it).
3)the 61.8% levels for both the uptrend and downtrend act as support and resistance..in other words a range in between 1.2515 and 1.2665

At this point, more importantly as time goes on, wouldn't 1.2665 become a break of the triangle?

to answer your question simply...im not entirely sure what the triangle upper wall is anymore. the spike to 1.28 is what were all ignoring but maybe ..just maybe..it changed the triangle all together. One other thing...4h chart shows we havent even tapped the upper wall yet...but on 1h chart there was a spike going outside. So yea...that triangle im using more of as an idea and leaving trading decisions to other parts of my strategy.

So perhaps a quick run-up and retreat would keep the candle within the space, even if the wick crossed. Nevertheless, those walls have to be broken sometime...

move down in daily range has begun and may touch opening price before close of the day, only one valid support in the way if pierced. Traders present price action shows the same story and by the end of the day more lossess to the EUR possible, any comments please

agreed. normally i would say it will break to the downside as it looks like a bear flag looking at the bear run from 1.6....still...we have seen strong pressure the past 2 weeks from making a new low and a reversal is still a possibility....when it breaks decisively...well know for sure....whether that will be today or sunday/monday...to be seen

And to think that although it has dropped 100 pips, the long signal of the trenfollower at 2603 based on 1H is still intact although suffering.

Are we going to see a rebound soon or is dollar still gaining strength against the euro? Can anyone help with this? From what i see from the charts Euro seems to be loosing it looking at the daily charts. Bulls seems not to have enough power to break through this downward fall. I guess a break of 1.2424 will support further bearish move down. Anyone one with a contrary view?

Point well taken. My post was to make the point that the acknowledgment of a sharp economic downturn can be made, regardless of the name. I can't believe anyone one who claims that there is no or little degradation of the economy.

most impressive. just another reminder of how market makers want to ruin all we know about technical analysis and that today is friday with these sporadic moves that are highly illogical. i am choosing to ignore this massive spike down and considering only the real body volume...where it closed and opened. in other words...putting the spike aside this still may turn into an inverted h&s as would be confirmed by a decisive break of the neckline at 1.2580..to be seen.
