In such a choppy market we should wait for the perfect setup. Stochs were not overbought....

Lesson learned on that one! Thats why I'm demoing.
Is there an alert/alarm setting that would go off when Stochs cross into overbought/oversold??? That would be super handy when price starts doing this.
there is one out there somewhere. Try and google it....

Wasn't following the thread real time , catching up now...

Why was this not a valid entry? A useful 23 pips before the W pivot which had no effect anyway and a potential 50 or even 90 to the top??

It was a valid trade and a good one. Jurn_e took that trade last night but exited with +5 pips. FJ said it was risky because of all the resistance at the top side. I missed but in live time as I was changing my sons diaper. The only hard part about this system is the discretionary part. We all know the rules but trendlines may be drawn different. The PP are all different right now. So what looks clear to one, may be risky to FJ...but he is the expert so even though this trade ran for 100+ pips, it's safe to listen to him if you are a newbie and still learning. Jurn_e took a good trade and if you got back in the thread, you will see I congratulated him on that trade after FJ said it was risky. FJ, I'm not trying to answer this for you, just giving my point of view because I was wondering why people did not take that trade but it's probably due to everybodys trendlines and pp being so different.

If in the navigator/ Custom indicators/stochastic you right click and 'modify' add in the following:
in the 'extern declarations:
extern bool EnableSoundAlert = true;
and before last return instruction:

if (MainBuffer[1] > 80 && SignalBuffer[1] > 80 && EnableSoundAlert == true)
{ Alert (Symbol()," Stochastic Overbought Price Now at ",Ask," ",Bid);
EnableSoundAlert=false; return (0);}
if (MainBuffer[1] < 20 && SignalBuffer[1] < 20 && EnableSoundAlert == true)
{ Alert (Symbol()," Stochastic Over Price Now at ", Ask," ",Bid);
EnableSoundAlert=false; return (0);}

I just put this into mine, but may need just the MainBuffer rether than the signal to give more time - try it

I wondered if anyone was long on that. I kept waiting for a bounce back down, and felt like I'd be breaking the rules to jump in and ride it upwards. Probably should have in hindsight.
Yeah, in live time it would have been tough if you had a trendline and pp above that point. If not, you would have saw a possible 20 pip trade and you probably would have entered. Oh well, nothing lost, nothing gained. More of those to come I'm sure.

Enjoying the thread. Would like to try this system, but downloaded files are not working in my IBFX demo. Indicators and template freeze my screen when I try to add to 5M EUR/USD. Anyone having similar problem or have any ideas to correct? Thanks.

I have jut joined recently this treat, and I must congratulate you for this excellent and very simple , profit making system.

Question ; The sytem call for EMA 5 (open and close), but I note that the template you have added to your first post is based on SMA 5. Can you clarify. I guess, we need to change SMA 5 by EMA 5 in the template?
Things get pretty flat through this time...I'll see you guys tonight at the asian open...maybe a little earlier.

I'm +27 for the day. My goal is 25 so thats awesome! I've learned that my biggest losses are when price startgs getting choppy and I enter in when things are not over bought/sold. Like right now...it is just back and forth...
Great day! My goal is +20 and I was -4 so I have some work to do but I feel confident that I can turn it around. It's demo but I still treat it like my live account. Congrats on the +27 for the day so far and may the pips be with us later tonight!

You're right! There was an ERROR: the right template is attached below. It has EMA 5.

Hi guys, hope the good trading continues. I am new to Forex and am here to learn. I just started doing the demo thing and hope to learn alot from you all. So far this method looks pretty good. Wish me luck.

I would not say you are asking too much. You are asking for what you would like to see! I will say shoot for it. As you probably have seen, this system can bring in solid pips. Even on the small winners, they still are winners. I had -13, +3 and +6. I eliminate my bad entry which resulted in -13 and I'm almost half way to my daily target. So, I would hope that nobody discourages you from going for 30-40 pips per day. As long as you trade the rules correctly, you will do just fine. I picked a 20 pip daily average because I can live comfortable off that. Does that mean I'm done trading for the day when I reach +20 each day...no...it just means that I would like to average out (of course we will have losers!) 20 pips daily. My advice is keep your target, trader per the rules and see what you get. I'm sure that if you fall short and net +20 pips for a day, you won't be mad!
