I have a question about pivots. I have noticed there are discrepancies in what the DP actually is. I am using THV which calculates daily fib pivots. Today it is 1.2658. On the ActionForex website, which is not a fib pivot, it is 1.2667. Psi just posted a chart, below, with the pivot at 1.2703. The price seems to have respected the pivot psi has the most. Now obviously I understand why the fib pivot is different, but why the discrepancy otherwise? Isn't the formula the same? And why is the fib pivot not being respected as much? I have noticed this for many days and wonder how useful the pivot is or isn't if I don't have the "right" one, if there is such a thing. Comments?

Sunday itself creates a bit of confusion with pivots. For example I usually disregard Sunday when setting up weekly pivots. If you are using MT4 generated pivots then of course where your broker's day starts and ends will change the pivots from others. This has a real impact when you have a close like we did on Friday add to that the apparent gap on Sunday.
When you use "action's" pivots, based on 5pm est, I always draw them on a chart to see which are being respected, don't forget to calculate and add the half support/resistence points between the DP and R1 and S1

USD/CAD Sell near 1.2399

Take just small amount. Accuracy is not perfect.
Signals timings really confuse me ....anyway thanx for the signals....
p.s.: i hope it will now drop very fast and never reach that near 2697....and a newbie like i am will regret what a strong signal he missed

Thanks for all your help. i am understanding pivots better. I think I might calculate them myself from the 5 pm ET close since my system will not do it. I wonder if there is an MT indicator that does that, where you can manually change the time it calculates. Let me know of any ideas.
