Some Big Money insititution (Central Bank trading dept. or some hedge fund) waited yesterday and today for the Euro traders to leave, and then (having loaded up on longs) pumped the price up on high to offload and go short. The did this yesterday and today. The strategy would be a prelude to a planned BEAR run next week. First though, they loaded up on longs then manipulated these two runs up high.....make retailers that are short re-think their short position and buy to cover because it now looks like BULL action is beginning. And as the retailers buy to cover, what are they buying? .....WHAT THE BIG MONEY FIRM IS SHORTING.

Just an hypothesis.

Today (actually Nov 15 tomorrow) is the quarterly notice day to hedge funds to request to withdraw money. Now that is out of the way the markets might "stabilise" as much as they can do that these days.

later folks just missed my 200 pips and counting pip 9gbp) move. had my finger on the trigger and didnt pull it.. i needed to listen to my own rule.. put back to support/resi with a small sl about 20% sl to 100% target tp. when you do this with the long move you can always expand tp... all the bull talk made me weak.. i did figure this was a profit taking day in market and never listened to myself.. oh well live and learn.. up 2600 pips in last 2 weeks.. i was extremly lucky. most of my pips were own eur/aus followed by gbp/usd and in last place eur..i dont think i will be able to duplicate this. we never see the moves we have seen in the last 6 weeks ever again. but if we do im ready..

Too much emphasis on the big guys IMO.

Equities and Crude + other commodites are driving the currency markets.

When NY goes up so does Crude / EU - and vice versa.

I agree, one look at the charts supports this.

We had an interesting 45 minutes this morning where EU showed a little independence, but that was all I saw in the way of any hint at deviation.

Now looking at the last candlestick, it looks like a bearish
engulfing to me?

Do any of you guys agree with me on this?

It may be bearish, but it's only one indicator. It does not predict but only indicates. For me, that alone would not be enough to make a decision to trade or not.
