On this 5 minute chart, the central fib pivot line (122.96) has essentially been tested multiple times and held as resistance. We have an ABC Zigzag pattern (red arrows) and a Bollinger band pinch. Notice the 0% downside fib extension level is also the area to breakout of the bottom of the ABC Zigzag.....and it is also about 100 pips above the session low of 121.21.

Adding this up, if the price now continues down from the PV and breaks down thru the 0% fib extension level at 122.35 and continues on down, it may be the beginning of a 100+ pip run back towards the session low.

Nothing is certain. But this "bears" watching. We are now less than 2 hours from the Euro session traders jumping in, and there is no telling what they will do to support or reverse any move underway.

Here is a subsequent 5 minute chart...better showing the ABC Zigzag that may, or may not develop into a downside run. I added the red lines to the red arrows to help portray what I was referring to.

This current 5 minute chart shows a movement up and a new, better defined Bollinger band pinch. This move may break out to the topside, but even if it does, they sometimes roll over (head fake) and move in the opposite (down) direction to breakout the opposite side and proceed with the real run.

At this point, we do not have a run, nor do we know if we get one, which way it will go. 123.50 = up and 122.00 = down IMHO. Meanwhile we have a 150 pip area for this to meander around in.....

Agreed, sonic. And right now we got zip. Maybe another test of 123.00 area as resistance. Maybe a break up....maybe....maybe ....maybe ad-nauseum.

And the Euro traders can, as they sometimes do, jump in early to futher muddy the waters......

The moment of truth? Two high strikes (see the arrows). The first at 123.37 and the latter at 123.36. If the current candle closes down, then maybe, just maybe the Euro session traders will join in and hammer this down...and we get a good run on down to 122.00 area.

The key here is whether or not it gets pumped up and breaks the 123.50 area to begin more upside movement.

A "change of the guard" is soon upon us. No telling what the Euro session traders will do......just have to wait and see.

Lots of volume at these highest highs over the last 15 minutes, and the price is not moving. Either the big boys are holding the line while they buy it up, or they are shorting while keeping it up. Either way, next move should be a good one.

Looking at the 30 chart, it found another support area to test as resistance, one that finally seems to be holding.....123.80 area.

On the Bollinger band pinch, that is a failure at the 62% level = weak momentum upside.

This still has the looks of something that is going to roll over and dive....but then each time I have though that earlier, it inched its way ever higher! But then I was on very short timeframe charts. Whatever the 30 is saying, it is saying it with more authority than the lower timeframe charts have.

So, I'll continue to wait this out......

Here you are. Look at the volume hump in conjuction with the price hump. That is a lot of relative volume and yet the price stalled out as the volume came pouring in......

If it breaks below 123.20, there is the possibility of a 200 pip run down to LOD at 121.21......
