Yes, this is the 1 or 2 times a year that the premarket price actually was a good indication of where the "real" markets would open. Not good odds to me to put much weight behind trading on such knowledge.

When I do trade the wide pip spread on Sunday it's with small lots, and good reason. I have plenty of small lots but I can't find a reason.

Or, you can think positive.....you cashed out to protect your money from any totally arbitrary manipulation at the open in a direction you could only have guessed at! You are not a gambler. You are a trader. And your decision was that of a wise trader.

When you see gap manipulations like this, just think that it could have happened in the other direction, too. Believe me, there will be plenty of manipulations during the trading week, and time to watch for good setups on them.....THAT is trading. And you are a trader.

I hear ya. Loks like I will have to wait until something recognizable happens. On the other hand the most bullish indicator might be my change of sentiment

The time is now to perhaps put sentiment on the back burner and trade the action. I plan to be more of trader going forward. I had some good gambles lately, but I think for the long haul developing a more professional strategy would behoove my long term performance. thanks for the affirmation.

I'm going to eat some tri-tip and forget about the market until tomorrow...

early opening hour sunday analysis. this gap up or w/e you want to call it opened next to the upper wall of a mini triangle developed friday within the bigger triangle we all know so well by now. since it is so early i am not trading this as it really could go either way although im inclined to believe this move up has no strength behind it. in other words...a fill the gap is most probable. good pippin all and those who trade this early...applause to you as i see no immediate reasons to

I agree with you, psiholog, that the upside looks weak and fabricated. The 4 hour chart shows the gap up was to the 89 sma area, where past moves have failed and where it now is below the standard BB basis (20sma)...

We abandoned the value 2815. This is not good.
however, the hour basis support at 2775 may hold.

Edit I look at the near term at following values... an 1H open over 2829 for an uptrend
an 1H open below 2775 for a downtrend

I downloaded it but a nice improvement would be to have instead of "Fibonacci" the value there and may be a popup alarm if PA is closed but switchable to yes or no.
Till now you only can change the colors.

Don't let the name throw you. Fibonacci pivots are customarily calculated from the previous Day H, L, C prices and some indicators may also use the O price of the previous day, or of the current day, also.

Basically, the result is an identification of phsycological price levels....levels where in a move, the move may pause and proceed, or stop and reverse....phsycological S & R levels so to speak. And when they coincide with what other technicals may be showing, there is even more import to them.

Forex price movements can appear annal at time, hitting certain numbers to the very pip. But don't let that persuade you that just because a price failed to make it to a fibo level, or that the price went beyond by some number of pips, that fibo levels don't work. Always think in terms of "price area", not exact prices.
