I don't think now is a good time to trade. Price looks like it wants to come down, but it's mostly moving horizontal, consolidating. That could even be a bull flag on M30. Up or down (not to be or not to be), that is the question that still needs to be investigated.

Got up this am at 3:00am or so; traded for a couple of hours; went back to sleep; and then got back into trading before NY opened. It's fun when things go your way.

I could have made a lot more PIPS (maybe triple), but my daughter is home for school and I took time out to be with her. They're only with us for so long, so I always try to make the best of that time. Forex will hopefully always be there...

There are literally hundred of systems that make money.

The reason why they fail is they have humans trading them.

Find a system YOU feel comfortable with and of course... one you can win with.

If you haven't read Van Tharp's book 'Trade your way to financial freedom' - do it now.

It's a real eye opener.

Money management is king - but if you don't have a winning system you are shit out of luck.

I second that, after a big move like today the market usually moves a little choppy sidewards until it decides where to go next.


BTW: watch the 4H candle, mine finish in 35 min.

I agree. The next 30 mins will tell a lot. My M4 looks like we could see a repeat of yesterday's 0400gmt, or we could go drastically up some more. I'd vote down, but I would not trade it.

The Asian Session: Doesn't matter
The US Session: 7am EST --> 5:00pm EST (The last good trades is around 11:00am est and sometimes a little later)

OK thanks. I always called it the "London" session, which btw I miss out on for the most part because I'm West coast U.S. I'll trade any session, although I'm real careful on the Asian session.

my current 2 cent analysis. after having slept through the whole ride up (no regrets as i surely would have lost money)....i woke up at 1.3020. after drawing the current upwards channel it became clear to me thats very close to the top. It also represents resistance 3 and since i have started using cobras pivots...they have proven excellent in portraying the range a pair can have during one day...R3 being the maximum. Since then pa which has stuck to the upper wall within the channel has broken towards the lower wall which is what usually happens. now the question is whether we can break that lower wall or not....if we do....retracement to 61.8% for this entire move up is very possible (lets not forget ecb rate cuts)...which happens to be around 1.2700. If no break then special ed was right in the triangle pattern which is usually a sign of continuation up. good pippin all

Like acumen said: There are thousand of systems out there but we want one that we feel good and secure with, and then after trying it a long time that will be our system.
Download it and try it if you want, it is setup to trade on 15M. (may be I will make a scalper setup later)
No questions here in the thread about how to set it up in MT4 or what are the rules etc. please, it is off topic.
There are no rules yet, just try it and see what you can do on it.
After a week or so I will give some more info about suggested entry and TP points.
Any suggestions please send me an email.
