According to the recent signals; mainly, the damping demand for the safiest assets ( T-Billes) , the EUR/USD fair-minded movment is coming to an end. Now, we should start viewing a rising momentum ; the pair should be heading to a 10-days uptrend moving avg.


Any disagree?

I say short the pullback at 3408, but thats just me. I wouldn't want to go long unless we can close at or above 3600.

Hey guys, sorry for asking here but this is my favourite thread and most active so just had a problem...

My metatrader is working but the charts seem to be jammed. Its stuck and not moving as if its disconnected. Anyone having the same problem? Or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks...Its MT4 free version, not live. It was working fine until about 1 hour ago..

Went long at 1.3355, targeting 1.3401. Currently -30 pips. Stop is somewhere around -100 pips. Should I just cut off early? Keep in mind that I am ok with a trade that lasts several days.

may be a moot point by now, but make sure your broker is not resetting the server. i know several of them do that especially on the demo servers a'rd 5pm or so. also the live servers reset much faster than the demo platforms as they would have priority...

Actually, just go to the bottom of this page and select "Contact". You can then pick which area of attention needs be paid.

That's why you don't want to direct it to anyone specifically. Just send an email to the contact listed below and you'll be all set. They take spamming pretty seriously around here.

hm yeah. I will wait and see if it starts working again after a while. This is the first time something like this has happend

The FX market has been difficult in recent weeks and those trying to trade the EUR/USD and EUR/JPY would have had a torrid time working out what happened to the EUR over the past 24 hours. The EUR has been losing out to the USD and JPY in recent weeks due to heavy USD and JPY repatriation flows resulting from the extreme rise in risk-aversion sparked by the freezing up in the credit markets. In the past 24 hours we have see the credit markets thaw and risk appetite rise yet the EUR has weakened significantly. Analysts are having trouble explaining the EUR weakness except to say that the moves were flow-driven. There was talk that US real money funds capped the EUR/USD above 1.3500 and steadily sold the pairing through 1.3400. Longs taken during the London session stopped out below 1.3360 and 1.3300 and there was talk that a good deal of USD buying was related to the very large Lehman Credit Default Swap settlement tomorrow.

very interesting...thank you very much for the insight...thats a good explanation.

it also helps confirm my theory somewhat that manipulation hedge funds and other powers that be have come to the currency markets. Of course this is pure speculation...your news...could mean the downtrend continues...blah....im sticking to my long for now hah

That is a surrendered solution. From my humble prospective, I wont rival veterans, there is two opposed view to these news : the US has begun restoring its confidence in the market, and is expected to lead this recovery. In addition, the Euro is expected to lower its LIBOR. Both of those expectations drive the pair to decline. On the other hand, Risk apetite investors ( big players/instititions) have awakened, pulling their funds out of the US low yield safe currency and investing in a high yield currency. Now, as one view crosses the other, the curve will turn to a bi-polar.

We have seen the downtrend. Now am speculating a uptrend overnight...
