i just woke up to see almost nothing has happened

guys this is just an observation not a suggestion. lately the eur/usd moved alot AFTER the close of the us stock market. in other words if it lost 700 points like yesterday....someone noticed the eur/usd would drop lets say 350points (which is what happened)...dow drops 300points...eur/usd dropps150 points and so on. today though the us stock market was choppy...up and down from what i understand...right now its set to close over 200points higher...40minutes to find out. it is very crucial how it closes as it will determine further direction by eur/usd. just my 2 cents...

Im going long 1.3450...small position. Just seems like needs to have some sort of bounce, has under performed vs dollar against the peers. Granted thing may be horrible in EURope, but a pop to the 20sma on the daily around 1.40 seems feasible. indicator is saying something to that fact and unless skewed by gap on sunday..going ot stick with it.

i too am currently long..worth it. since i slept a strong resistance line which mhpopular noted has been acting as a sort of midpoint line for price action. now its strong support again which should take us to the next resistance line...100pips higher. also...dow is up 363 points currently..yikes..no dead cat bounce like monday either...seems like the formation of a true reversal

Dow is up over 400. Let's see what this does.
Watch also what happens if/when E/J reaches today's earlier high of 137.2. If it pushes past that, it might very well pull EUR/USD along with it.

CLosed EURUSD long up a handful of pips...not moving fast enough. Sorry I closed my AUDUSD so soon. Was a home run today.

Probably best to wait and see what's next for eurozone.

Anyone have a clue what the outcome will be for the currency pairs depending of who the winning candidate will be??

Well if taxes get increased on US cap gains, might be dollar negative. But not sure...I am back long by the way. lower entry than before with a few pips in pocket so all good

at 61.8% retrace off highs from gap up earlier in week...could this be the platform for upward movement?

No stop, but will re look at it at 1.3250 I did put my limit Target in at 1.3950 though

Great thinking, wish I had the balls and money on my account to set the same stop. Just hope that I won't be stopped out.

Target seems indeed promising, with the rev. H&S and the bullish divergence.

Nice equity rally into the weekend might be nice. Oil and commodity spike will play in our favor.

When referencing the DOW climb or drop to a currency move, one should have an idea what actually caused the move, at least as much as can be known, before projecting that into the future very far.

Large last hour moves either way can be misleading... was it simply hedge or mutual funds settling books at the end of the day which is when that kind of thing can be expected, or something similar? If the market had remained open another couple hours, would it have been able to sustain that level? If it climbed or dropped early on, and held those levels thruout the day, I would give them more weight.

I'm not a stock guy, and welcome any comments from any who are...

Regarding the EJ connection, right on... That has been the biggest impetus lately behind the EU moves as it reflects the yen pressure better imo, and why I frequently trade that pair instead and let EU take another nap...

And speaking of EJ, I just got in and noticed it was bumping up against the 1hr 200sma. Shorted it at 37.00. My new daily M2 is 37.12... Also shorted EU on the tap of the 1hr UTL. New Daily M3 is 3495.

we are at a crossroads now...if that point on the chart gets broken we skyrocket to 1.3560 in my opinion

Generally higher oil means weaker dollar, not always the case though. Since oil is odllar denominated, other currencies have to rise to keep costs of commodities in check.

E/J is Euro Yen pair.

On second glance, this could hit the 50% fib level at 3517. I'll add on at that level as well if it does, otherwise I'm happy with my current entry, there's not enough power right now to get me very interested, and the M3 hit was a good start for the pre-asian session.

Central Pivot or 5pm opening price was 3454. Daily Pivots is 3445. Price climbed to M3, and unless it breaks M3 with some conviction... I'm holding my shorts for the time being. Both Daily and Central pivots are within 9 pips of each other, that's the magnet for now, for me.

Fib levels for that are 3780 high and 3255 low from last week.

Dotted red TL is a 2hr candle Close TL, and yellow dotted is a 2hr High TL
