For the long term I have a long bias. I looked on the daily, it has been making higher high the last few days. But again, we might be in a consolidation period of this down move still. So what I am doing is I will play for small pips with this triangle until it breaks...ofcourse my stop is on the other sides of these lines. I am waiting to let the price tell me what to do next.

i know this is not usd/jpy thread but i feel its imperative i point out how much the 2 pairs correlate....the break up on eur/usd came at the exact time usd/jpy broke up (i dont trade that pair but lots of money to be made there!)

shoot posting too much and didnt get a chance to lock in profit. ah well....it happens. in any case whats happening now is a retest of the breakout wall...if the wall holds...well go even higher...if the wall doesnt hold...here comes new lows possibly...

I realize that this thread is for exchanging trade strategies but seriously…

The market these days is so volatile, that any call up or down will quickly come true. The key to successful trades in the market now is to not be greedy on how much profit to take.

Goals of a specific number of pips for the day will (over time) kill you.

Another thing is the frequent catagoric tone taken by some members. Let’s face it if you really got this whole thing figured out - then why waste your time reading or posting here.

Side line quarterbacks should keep opinions to themselves unless it’s backed up with meaningful and relevant data that supports an opposing position.

That last pop on the 30 minute was a run that quickly tappered off in volume as the high was approached.....not exactly a sign of upside breakout interest. Inasmuch as it quickly receded, it is possible it was simply a run up to allow some big traders to vacate their long positions during the fabricated momentum. It still looks like a setup for a break to the downside to me.

Hey sun, good to see you back, missed you the other day I think when you first posted in. I know you missed all of us.

Taking off for the day, so I'll check back later. Still likin my shorts tho from +1.4000 and on down, sellin rallies and all that kind of thing TFN. Most recent entry was at 3655 on a late entry. Mine's all amply laid out in recent posts and I refuse to repeat it ad nauseum. I'm currently liking this scenario a bit tho....The global gummints have found a way to get the cart out of the woods in and are busy nationalizing away, or about to (how do you spell "less gummint?).

Two problems... first is at least one wheel has come off the cart, and there are no spares, second is they don't yet realize there are no horses to pull the cart.

I use the cart analogy as it is more "green" and will help to reduce global warming and I understand that's important. My wife says I'm in my annual cynical phase right now.

So, did you buy that hog farm?

we had some thunder and lightning here in Australia where I'm at so I closed all my trades and have only just gotten back to the computer.

Anyway from the begining of the asian session, I still haven't changed my opinion.

With all due respect, I take issue with the overall message and tone of this post. A member since Aug 2007 and a whole 24 posts.

This is a forum....and as such, idea-sharing, opinions and strategy-share are at its core. It is your job to filter what is useful to you...and not to the entire forum/thread. Alternatively, you can start your own forum or thread, managed how you see fit.

That being said, I can appreciate your advice on daily goals.

TARFU? I know and hate Tofu but WTF is TARFU.

Hog farm makes me think of Orwell's "Animal Farm" with all the s*** happening nowadays. Actually there are wild turkeys and deer aplenty. Bow hunting season just started while I was up there but fishing is what I prefer. I had great weather for the 2 weeks but not much luck with the Bass - turds.
