I did not have any movement at all with the EA during the night. No trades were executed. What was your profit during trading hours?

Roughly, just roughly, if u use TP = SL, you may highly likely to find hit rate ranged from 50%~60% sth. the ratio of TP/SL is a big trick of this system.

mine is 20 tp vs 12 sl, and I found that martingale(x2) seems not worthy the risk.

Thanks. I will try your settings. So far I have tried the original settings with tp 5 and sl 13. I will try both now and I will post results here regularly.

Good morning!

Woke up to see that 6 trades had been triggered during the night. 4 were losses and 2 ended up with positive pips. So overall it was a loss. The EA took the 4 losing trades almost at the same time, only with one minute in between. Is there any way to avoid this, so that it only makes one trade each time?

Nice strat, unfortunately not applicable for my sleeping hours.
I didn't read the whole thread so don't know if it has been mentioned, I just got the enitial impression you're trading with a 3 pip spread on EG ? That's way too much for such a system as it seems to me, you can find brokers that will give you one pip (with recent liquidity problems it might be more but I hope it'll get resolved soon) and 2 pips easy even now. If this is your main strat than I see no reason to compromise on such poor spread.

I agree with you.

I am going to Alpari as soon as possible.

I do not like brokers with 1pip spread because they take commission.

This is not an EA problem.

You just don't have luck.

Tonight I lost 2 trades also.

As said Charvo, this is time to verify is semi-martingale is really useful here.

You should keep in mind that a moviment like that (60 pips without retract) are rare on EURGBP during Asian (but not impossible).

I you look for an way to stop trading after the first loss.

EDIT: Solution found. EA will not trade twice the same signal.

Is this a new function in a new version of the EA? Because it seems that the EA traded more than once on the same signal last time.

1 month statement.

Gain of 125%.

Large DD at the end due to EA intelligence fault: It continues trying the same signal even when it has already lost.

I tried an "intelligent" version but the results are not better than this. So I keep it like this.

Two trades were opened during the night, both ended up in profit. The gain was a total of 10 pips. Once again, thanks to Forturama for introducing us to this great system. I have tried higher SL and TP than the original 13/5, but it has not been that successful yet. It would be interesting to hear of other people's settings and success.

The problem in the EA with more than one trade per losing signal perhaps could be solved with a restriction of number of trades/day. It would cut the losses, but the problem then is that it would also cut the winnings, since often there are more than one winning trade each night.

However, I have to get better at programming before I can contribute with any changes in the EA on my own

easy, a better way is limit 1 order per hour/30min.

I found an issue about semi martingale.

Back testing both methods (with and without martingale) I found better results without martingale. The parameter of comparison is the risk. Each bad trade loss 15% of capital.

Perhaps we should keep the EA simple like it is (even with worse DD).

If we analyze the DD we can imagine that we can increase the risk with martingale, since we have a more efficient system. So we should not compare two system keeping equivalent risk/reward ratio.

Hi,

The objective of that post is discuss about what kind of strategy is the most profitable, not just show good results.

Now we are looking for optimal results.

I will try add a time restriction function to the EA.
