but i dont want to stop trading forex so i kept trying my personal(historical)trading strategy "TRENDLINE TRADING".infact,i am member of "DRAWING CORRECT SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE THREAD" in ff.
I beleived trendline trading is a normal trading style, and it has kept me going in the forex biz.but never stop searching.
sooner,i came about a strategy book named "HOW TO TRADE IN BOTH RANGE AND TRENDING MARKET BY A SINGLE METHOD" by S.A GHAFARI.So,i am not the originator of this system but i am posting it here for improvement purposes.i have backtested it and now i am trading it live.
Other people might have come across this system and if so,you are most welcome to contribute.

i am posting this system here because i know this best way to make a system 90% sure is to make it open to critism, appraisal and development.
please download the pdf file,go through it and make your comment.notice that s.a ghafari uses 4h chart and gu,but i have tested it on other currencies and tf.
now i trade it live on gu,eu,uj,gj and ec on 30m tf and it has been good.but i always respect the larger trend,i mean 4h and even daily when 4h is somewhat confusing.i wll be here to answer any complain and,as i always say,i will gladly make a room for conclusive improvement from you guys.

happy trading.........................

Isn't life strange.

I am trading a similar system to yourself but was wondering on the best way of trading a ranging market (I've been sitting on the sidelines for the last 4 days). And then you publish this. Thank you for posting it.

This is how it always is. I think "There's a weakness in my system; how can I overcome it?" and then someone posts a thread that catches my eye. Bingo.

My next question... how can I get a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 without doing a day's work?

Nice looking strategy. I have a couple of questions.

I'm not really getting the use of the RSI for entries. You said to enter when the Value line of RSI moves above RSI Trend Line, but I can't really see it in your examples. The exits seem clear enough, but all I can really tell about the entries with regard to RSI is that it's above/below 50 for long/short. Can you clarify this please?

Also, I would like to try this on the daily time frame, but the RSI 21 tends to be very flat on the daily. Changing it to a 13 or even an 8 seems to add more movement. Do you see any problem with that? I have never used RSI so any help would be appreciated, and thanks for posting this.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard, When you load the RSI on your chart {21 period }, on the properties box go to parameters and make sure the fixed minimum and fixed maximum box are not checked. This opens up the compression of the indicator between the 0 and 100 range and visually makes it easier to see the up and down movement of the RSI, thus making it easier to draw your RSI trend lines. Hope that helps you......T-Wolf

Thanks thunderwolf, that did the trick.

Hey Folastevo, I think to upload files you have to have a minimum number of posts. I'm not sure how many, maybe 25 or 50. Anybody know for sure?

Cheers,
Richard

I mean that I trade a system that is similar to the one in the pdf. I use H1 but I only use MAs and nothing else. Purely on EURUSD. I've had variable success, as, stated above, ranges have proved problematic.

I've started testing it on M5 not because it's scalping but because there is a direction even when it's largely ranging.

No problem, mate. Get yourself over here to the UK, become one of our blood-sucking vampire bastards we laughingly call Members of Parliament, and simply claim said Lamborghini on expenses.

No problems with petrol either. Expenses take care of everything in Westminster.

Oh, by the way, that "without doing a day's work" is absolutely guaranteed.

Cheers

EDIT: Just realised you're already here in the UK. With that in mind, I might even campaign for you!!

Dear Friends:

Thanks for sharing this method. I actually make this comment because i am the originator of the system and i know hips of tricks and facts about that strategy. Actually, This system despite of being easy to apply has many other simple but effective tasks which make the strategy really work!

Anyway, anyone who want to know more about the untold aspects of the strategy please search the name of S.A Ghafari on the net ( preferably through Google or Yahoo ) and catch the email address of mine. Contact me and i simply send a Q&A which is actually a troubleshooting package including my students questions from all around the globe. I hope this can help you some to prevent loosing money on trading. because i,m always happy with disciplined guys who mostly end up with reasonable profit at the end.
Also i almost forgot to mention that i,m currently working on new videos which will reveal many untold things about technical tools including Bollinger Bands, Stochastic, MACD, Regression Channel and many other.. so stay in touch.

Best Wishes

Dear S.A,
Very simple and impressive system.
Is this system applied for any pairs and TF, or only for certain of them.
And how long have you been applying this system?
Thanks a lot. Great job!
