When the Asian session traders went to work, they drove it down, then up hard, then returned the price to the starting line....for a combined total of about 242 pips.

When the Euro session traders went to work, not to be outdone, they slammed it up hard and then back down hard....both runs 125 pips, for a combined total of 250 pips.

Is there a strategy here? (Just kidding, but it IS interesting.........)

Is there any way to "turn off" the feature that places your orders and your positions on the charts? Sometimes these lines interfere with showing a clear chart when trying to illustrate something, and it would be nice to be able to remove them.

Can this be done? Does any user of MetaTrader4 know how to do it?

I am SO not a fan of short TF reversal patterns as I've posted several times.

With that said, and altho it almost causes me physical pain to post this, these may bear watching as they meet some of what I would call the requirements to be valid ones. (put a sock in it Jurassic! )

Check out the 15m chart for EJ and EU and zoom out until you're coming off the most recent lows a'rd 3580 on EU and 135.00 on EJ. You'll see a good long multi hundred pip climb, and not some little 40 pip channel that price has been stuck in for 2 days and someone is hallucinating a head and shouders in. They have a fairly decent left shoulder and head on each. OK, EU's shoulder isn't that pretty but whatever. EJ is cute enuff for both of them.

As it's a 15m thingie, this morning should tell the tale if this proves out or not and the right side either gets formed or fails. I woulkdn't trade this until it's confirmed.

I know I'm gonna regret this... I can hear it all now. Go ahead. I don't care. My shorts are all happy and the ones that aren't will be soon enough...

I should probably just delete this instead.

If Yes, good for you, last days I was buying drops or try to enter at some up move breaks, these last ones I was not so good, so better to keep winning strategy!
But that can change like Day to Night!
Keep your mind open to all views, Long Term USD will win, but hard here is to know if Euro continue this up move, until when????

I have to assume to dumped those AU shorts? My ship finnaly came in on that one

EU looks to be testing 20SMA on hourly chart...if breaks might turn sour. Be careful.

If you zoom WAY out, it takes on the formation of a linear regression channel upwards. It started Monday. Tuesday the 89 sma turned up. And the price action Tuesday, Wednesday, and so far today has been on the high side of it. And as the US session opens, the price is hovering about the 89 sma. Yes, it will be interesting to see which way the US session traders start this off. And will they start a substantial move soon, or wait for the US stock market open........?

The sessions Tuesday, Wednesday, and so far today have offered many 50 -100 pip runs, both up and down. Clearly the longer term trend is down...even the Montly chart has already capitulated into a down trend. But intra-session moves have been substantial in BOTH directions.

It is understandable that some here focus on short side trading, while others see long side opportunities. And while not the norm, these last few days have offered good trading either way. One thing to keep in mind is that the true relative value of the Euro to the US Dollar is immaterial, and if it was, it would still take many months for the economies of both regions to get back in sync after any significant economic change. So, the only thing that REALLY matters is our knowledge that from day to day, traders in each session are going to manipulate the price to make some money....plain and simple. And that spells trading opportunities....sometimes good ones in BOTH directions.

true, as are mine. i'm still in some short and long term shorts however that have profit either scaled out already and locked in, in some cases from +1.40, some are still scalping shorts as well, so that may be where the confusion is.

I'm seeing nothing on the daily but a nice bear flag in formation... and I can wait. chart shows some R levels I'm looking at.
