I have not bias on this, but here is a set of Fibs for a retrace to September 22nd (1.4866):
1.4322 - 61.8%
1.4155 - 50.0%
1.3987 - 38.2%
1.3779 - 23.6%

BoredToLoose's recommendation of 1.3777 for today/tomorrow is well in range. One step at a time.

I agree with those fib #'s...if we have found the bottom. I am no expert, but since we have not ever hit the 23.6% fib, what evidence do we have that a bottom is in place? I am not trying to be funny, I really would like to know. I thought fib 101 says retrace trading should begin @ a the 23.6 level...anything below this is still in danger of further downside.

Fibs are very reliable, good spots for bounces and continuations. Kind of dynamic psych levels (because the range changes all the time). To learn more on fibs, and decide for yourself, go to this thread - http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=50767. Bobokus is the FF king of fibs kind of like Acumen is here.

You look to be an exceptional trader anyway...

I still believe long term the dollar will strengthen but right now... who knows.

I think were on the edge of a global depression or at least a longer term global recession.

I think either scenario benefits the dollar as a safe haven play... for now... that could change but for the moment... still is a safe haven.

I also think a lot of larger players may be dollar long and protecting their positions.

All this is conjecture of course.

At this moment it's a dice toss.

It was much easier when the EURO was at .6 and oil at 140/bbl.

I don't know. I would hope EURUSD returns to the stable currency it was where 50 pip move was rare.

man i am tired of this ranging crap. i would really like a steady trend for a while. something that i can read. i am getting nowhere, actually i am going backwards.. not good. when will we see a solid trend come about? or be able to see at least a little bit of what is coming at us?

I don't really think it's a good idea to trade EUR/USD at the moment , instead try GBP/JPY . i'm well above 600 pips today with GBP/JPY..

just try - sake of your account.

trust me ..there are still more pips to come in your way if you can trade on GBP/JPY.

Just a peacefull thought of mine ..

The biggest currency changing chain in scandinavia just today they posted a notice that they will not be changing iceland krones to other currencies anymore.

Second time ever I've seen anything like this, first time was in argentina when we tried to change bolivian pesos to local currency.
