So with all those rate cuts, what next LONG or SHORT or FLAT? because i don't really see any move in either direction.

That was a good move from FED and ECB, to do it together

The Federal Reserve led a coordinated round of global official rate cuts on Wednesday, easing by a half-point, as did the European Central Bank, Bank of England and Swiss, Canadian and Swedish banks. In an attempt to stem unprecedented global market turmoil, the Fed cut its key federal funds lending rate by half a percentage point to 1.5 percent and also lowered its discount rate by the same amount to 1.75 percent. The ECB also cut by a half-point to 3.75 percent as did the Bank of England, taking its rate to 4.5 percent.

IMO, I am not talking any trade for now. This is a cold war between EUR, DOLLAR and SWIZZ. they all came out with rate cut at the same time. Just be careful with your predictions

at this point. it really is a gamble. no definitive direction as of yet. take a 50/50 bet, or stand flat until we know where we're going.

What is the world coming to...I shorted AU last night, did you SEE THE DROP. Holy smokes.

EU looks like it is holding up very well, pivot 1.3603 was the magic number this morning.

Total gamble to do anything right now. It's tough enough picking the least of the evils under regular market conditions.

the boat feels that this is pretty much expected..

hence the price action is not very bad...

besides, the cut was done by ECB etc too hence should be more or less the same...

expect continued consolidation ....

But the weight of each % cut is much heavier on US... .5% from 2% is harder to swallow then .5% from 4.25%
