U/J 18.4

I took an 18.4 setup while I was asleep on UJ.

Short position with a 21 pip SL. and it payed off 128 pips.

I had to set a TP level because I knew I was off to bed. But it was well worth it.

Believe it or not but I pocketed today about 150 pips on EUR/JPY longs opening and liquidating a position with limits and getting very lucky. Since then don't do nothing being just a watcher of this incredible market performance.

The retracement on the AUD/JPY is going to be as crazy as the actual meltdown. Unfortunately I will not be able to take part in it as 30-80 pips current spreads that I'm getting offered make it impossible to trade with reasonable stops.

Huge pinbar at 10.00 GMT would of taken out my stops if I had chosen to short on that pair (EJ) with 18.4 too...

So, I guess I got lucky as well.

This is just my own observation, but when indicators form the same pattern as price does, it gives more credibility to the currently pattern.

Probably. I am expecting the worst, just the other way around now

The whole situation about this bail-out reminds me an old joke about a human soul sitting on the cloud, looking down on earth and laughing. We are feeling it hard here in Brazil. The Bubble has exploded.

The USD has gone up 50% in 3 weeks time and the Bovespa (stock exchange) has come down from 76.000 points to 38.000 points in 1 1/2 months time.

I was predicting this rise in the USD against the BRZ due to the strengthening of the USD compared to the EUR and the Pound. But never this fast.

Does anyone know where I could get a USDBRZ feed?

And another question .... monthly chart macd divergence.
The diver. target should be 1.7056 .... technically speaking does price need to phisically touch that quote to accomplish div. target or it could reverse in that area finding support a little bit higher ? .. obviously it could just go straight down

Netdania has the USD/BRL chart - www.netdania.com (http://www.netdania.com) - click on Chartstation etc.

I feared that the BRICs would take a huge hit too. I don't think that your stock market has reach a bubble popping stage, but it could be painful for a while.
The news about Sadia losing a year's revenue in forex was scary. I knew then that this was not business as usual.

I have high hopes for Brazil in the future, but for now sit tight. This ride could get bumpy.

I have the same question and no definitive answer. Too ugly for a diamond, at least on my taste, but some hidden sense is definitely there. I was watching it for a while and couldn't make any reasonable trading decision.

It seems the buck is about to be sold out big time. Not at those current levels, I guess, but the time is nearing. Cable is likely to get back to 193.00 area after completing it's monthly divergence. If it does really happen then the most probable time for reaching 193.00 should be August of 2009.

Hi Igrok, what indications make you think that way?

* GBP/USD completing divergence
* USD/CHF longterm- resistance
* EUR/USD longterm-resistance

.... ? Thanks for your insight...

But... EU might still have some room to go down.... seems that we have some combs forming on Daily....

Onestly i wasn't looking at it as a diamond, that higher high and Lower low caught my attention ... it was a normal little consolidation area ... then yesterdays bar was an outside bar so i was willing to sell at a retrace .. exactlly a nice round number with the stop at yesterdays high: 1.74... guess what? .. price reached 1.7398 !!!!!! and then moved down equal measure of my stop ... really really sweet day ...
However at least i was right and i'm not mad for the money .. however thanks a lot for your answer ...
