hey slade..... noticed your post concerning the usdchf and gbpchf buys last night and started to mention something but backed off....

i've been running this deal in many demo's and live accounts almost from day 1.... my experience has been that it will be difficult to derive much from single pair jumps..... those pairs jump positions like cars in heavy traffic, only to later fall back to their prior place.... it only takes a penny move to jump slots.....

it has been viable to go with the flow, or screaming sell sell sell as you mentioned..... but even so the account will swing widely....

since the sunday open mine has swung from -700$ to currently +2500$..... it crossed 0 several times last night swinging roughly from -500$ to +500$.... you probably saw yours swing as much.....

i opened my latest a few hours after the sunday open when the eurusd settled down.....

more thought needs to be given here..... much more.....h

Are broker spreads less when we trade on higher TF charts? or does that matter?

To those that are here to learn and you think you have something to ask me, please do so via PM to me, if I think your question requires posting for other to see and read I will post it in the thread. If I think I just need to answer it then I do it to you without posting. I think this is the only way to control those unnecessary posting that confuses everyone including myself. Also this will ensure the length of the thread is manageable. If for some time that this return to normal. I will reopen it again normally.

Hang on a minute people .... there have been a lot of good people put a lot of time and effort into this thread.... but at the end of the day it is Julius's thread ... he is obviously a gifted trader ... and he has put a huge amount of effort into presenting this ... his .... system to us all .... have you seen how much attention and questions he gets asked every single day .... now Im sure he didnt come here to share this because he wants to TEACH .... or to EARN MONEY off of any of us ... yet you lot are acting like he owes you something ... like your paying for something .... If you have nothing decent to say then you know how the saying goes ....

How about a locked thread that only Trader101 can post to, layout the system, show examples respond to questions of his choosing etc

Then have second thread for everybody else. That way we keep all the important stuff clean and together and Julius can control his thread.

Everybody else can then have there say in the chaos thread and it won't matter so much if it keeps going off track.

PS Orest - any chance of posting version 1.12?, I would really like to get my hands on the 1hr and 4hr fix you made - thanks.

Not even sure where all the drama today came from, I didn't see any posts out of the ordinary, just TC getting all pissed, then icicle getting all pissed.

Anyhow, making tons of money using this today going short since 8am est.
Using orest indicator when 1hr and 4h both show strong short trend.
We'll see how it holds up.

not saying your wrong or right but how in the heck did you come to the conclusion to go LONG both of these?

I am just curious how you got that conclusion and what this trade successful?


edit: I think people would just be better to "ignore" the I'm pissed threads. The way I see it you have a choice to be negative or positive. If what you are going to say is negative it might be better to just zip it.

Maybe we should open a trading room like the one that was around for Expatts M5 Scalp System to keep this thread clean.
I absolutely hate it when a good thread about a brilliant strategy gets covered in sh*it, because noobs are to lazy to read.

As I have mentioned in one of my previous posts, the IBFX hedge is playing the EUR, GBP, NZD and AUD against the JPY, USD, and CHF. All you need to do is look at your IA (or Orests indicator) to tell you what is going on.

Take a look at the attached screen shot. Since the SELLS are in control (and have been since the market opened last night), just look at the second (quoted) currency of each pair. This would be Group 2 (JPY, USD, and CHF) The strongest will be the anchors, and they will weaken as you move toward the center, until you reach either the zero line, or a BUY pair that has jumped. As I see it, JPY strength is driving this entire move. You could also say EUR and GBP weakness are whats causing it; its just the flip side of the same thing. Since USDJPY is in slot 4 (making money on a sell), that would mean that JPY is stronger than USD for now. USDCHF is a buy pair that has jumped and is in profit. Thus, USD is probably strengthening against CHF, and since CHF/JPY Sell is also in profit, that means, JPY is also stronger than CHF.

Since IBFX Group I is largely dominated by EUR and IBFX Group 2 is dominated by JPY, if my analysis is correct, EUR/JPY pair can act as your indicator or boromter of the direction of your basket trade. If its going up, BUY, going down, SELL. So I like to keep a chart of EUR/JPY close by so that I can see what its doing. Note that we may be seeing some price exhaustion here, as the downside move is starting to chop around. The live basket account of all 14 pairs (SELL) should reflect this, up and down, up and down, movement.

Of course, trading this system is more complicated than I am suggesting. But what I am trying to do is to get everyone focused on the individual pairs and how they respond to each other and the basket as a whole. Why in the world would you want to be long the basket if the EUR and/or GBP get up off the mat and start to pound down on the JPY? To me at least, this is like having an X-ray machine that allows you to see inside of the market because if you know what is driving the IA and why the buys or sells are in control, or why an anchor has just been disodged (and by which pair), you may be able to time your trades better and open and close your basket with more profits at the end of the day.

Honestly, I am not trying to demonstrate any superior knowledge of the system in posting this stuff. Rather I am trying to stimulate more discussion and development so that I can learn more from the group. This system was completely uknown to me last week at this time. I was still pouring over charts, indicators, S/R's and fibs. Now I dont even open charts, except my EUR/JPY, of course!

This kind of comment is totally unnecessary and uncalled for. I have been following Trader101 (Julius) for almost a year on other threads in this forum. He has no patience for people who are not willing to listen or aren't willing to do the work for themselves. In fact he has come down hard on me when I asked something stupid or didn't follow his advice - and I'm still here and not calling him names.

Ultimately, he owes us nothing. In fact he has been very generous by sharing his methods here - he did not have to do that. If you follow his method you will make money, and he has not asked for even one penny. That's good to keep in mind when you disagree with the way he may come across sometimes.
