Dislikednot good enough...i need to work on my discipline...all morning i said 1.3882 could be retapped and i didnt take my own advice....i wouldn't have that 80pip loss if i did and be at 150 already...ah well...considering nfp today and the house vote and the economic uncertainty to follow...to be in the + today is reward enoughIgnored

History
Shorted 1.48 22 SEP 08
Adjusted SL 1.4173 02 OCT 08
NFP was once again a surprise and not a surprise
1) Surprise = For folks who are new to the scene, looking at such a bad data but yet the pair shorted !!!??
2) Not a surprise = Folks who followed news diligently for the past months will know that these days, good or bad news for the USD will either not affect it much or prompt it to strengthen more.
The boat's view yesterday was to hang on to trigger happy fingers to short as NFP was coming.
The decision was "wrong" as it shorted more. However it is in the boat's interest to eliminate all extreme risky trading. NFP could have resulted in massive long of pair.
Post NFP
With the NFP pushing the pair lower, and the pair actually starting to close below the previous low on the daily chart, the boat decides to add 1 small short position @ 1.3738. Take note that proper MM has been applied and potential loss has been factored in and is hence not detrimental to the boat.
Trades are still risky as bail vote is coming. However with NFP out of the way, the risk is currently manageable by the boat.
Next adjustment due is post London Session or post Bail Out Vote.
The boat remains bearish and with its broker now offering positive swap on shorting, it will carry its positions to the third week if no adverse reaction happens during bail vote.

DislikedI'm taking a forum break for awhile. No, I haven't blown my account. Simply managing my exposure to the drama, tantrums, hormone dumps, and related issues dominating this thread lately. Think of it as hitting my SL before my TP. EM along with MM. (Emotion management/money management)Ignored

DislikedHello Trading801,
I put that out there because, regardless of the vast range in our ages in this forum, we all tend to respect each other, genuinely like most, and have fun trading together. It's business, but it's also some joking and kidding around. However, every time some young buck gives his insight on politics, one of us old bucks stands our ground and "puts the young buck back in his place", so to speak. Then the young buck gets his feelings hurt, and we lose valuable input from a very good trader.
My two cents, which ain't worth two cents.
BTW, I've been reading your posts 801. You've come a long way in your understanding and habits! Congrats.
